The castle is beautifully embedded in a park. There is a riding facility and extensive paddocks in the immediate vicinity. One critical point is that in recent years a lot of holiday homes (chalets) have been built that are much too close to the castle - a shame for the look. We were accommodated in the residence to the side - in an attractive, spacious 2-room room... the only drawback here was the cleanliness of the bathroom. Our booking included half board. Breakfast was OK but nothing special - the same etagere for 3 days. Dinner was served in the associated restaurant "Cheval Blanc". The quality of the food was very good but the service still has a lot of room for improvement. Half board guests receive a second-class greeting from the kitchen - bread with vinegar & oil instead of bread with dip/oil and olives for á la carte guests. During our stay, the prices of drinks (e.g. beer) were significantly increased again from one day to the next. The service staff clearly lacked organization/leadership... friendly and helpful but sometimes very uncoordinated. The wellness area is good. In summary, a good hotel, although not in the 4 or 5 star range.

Insgesamt ein tolles Hotel. Sehr schöne Räume, Bibliothek, Lounge, wenn auch vielleicht einen Tick zu dunkel, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Sehr ruhig. Die Suite ist sehr großzügig, sehr sauber, sehr schönes Badezimmer, kleine Aufmerksamkeiten im Zimmer, Küche mit Kühlschrank und Kaffeemaschine. Eigentlich alles, was man braucht. Bis auf einen STUHL, um am Schreibtisch zu sitzen (viele Sessel, Sofa, etc., aber eben kein Stuhl.). Schöner Spabereich, Kosmetikerin kommt von außerhalb, braucht also etwas Planung. Das Personal ist super, sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, aber nicht aufdringlich. Mit ist die Bedeutung des Dirndllooks zwar etwas unklar, aber auch das ist Geschmacksache.

Wir haben das Schlosshotel im Dezember gebucht um ins etwas zu erholen. Es war großartig. Das Hotel hat ein sehr gutes Ambiente, das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und die Zimmer sehr schön. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr lecker und umfangreich. Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Sauna, sowie einen kleinen Fitnessraum. Uns hat auch die 2G+ Regel gefallen, da man sich recht sicher gefühlt hat
