Just at the hotel now on a 1 night business stay. Room has everything you need and staff I met are great. I have a room on 2nd floor. The heating doesn't work and the room is freezing. The worst thing is the bathroom extractor, which just doesn't turn off. It's extremely loud and I've had no sleep at all. Kept thinking it would go off, checked everywhere for a switch but it's been running all night incredibly loudly. PI could do with considering upgrading their hairdryers to one's with more power too. I would probably stay here again but be careful which room you end up with.

I think Premier Inn started to lose it's perk compare to Travelodge. You used to always have a bath and a child bed (mainly for placing luggage) in all rooms. Now it's not and it's by luck. I'll start to book more Travelodge in the future as they're usually cheaper, but no bath no luggage rack anyway.

We had taken over a relatives booking as they were no longer able to make their stay and saw it as a last minute little getaway before our second baby arrives. The hotel is really lovely and upon check in the team at the front desk were super friendly, taking an interest in how far along we are and how long left before baby arrives. They were very informative about the hotel/breakfast/getting to our room and ensured we had a table booked for our breakfast the following day as it gets busy and they didn’t want us to miss out which was very kind as generally we wouldn’t book beforehand and would have just turned up. We arrived to our room and were really pleased with the size. It’s a family room with one large bed and one single bed, but doesn’t feel crammed or like it’s lacking space. The bathroom consists of a toilet, sink and a good sized bath. We were really surprised to find a lovely note from a few of the team members wishing us a lovely stay before our second baby arrives and even leaving some mini eggs and chocolate bunnies (unfortunately we won’t be eating them due to our vegan diet, however, look forward to donating them to someone in need of a chocolate fix and we appreciate the thought and gesture behind it more than the chocolate!). We slept well, our son has recently made the transition into a big boy bed so we were looking forward to seeing how he gets on in a big boy bed that isn’t actually his own and he did wonderfully, so it must have been comfortable for him! Overall we’ve had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book ourselves in the future if we were in the area.

Stopped at the Premier Inn Burton Central on the 15th March 2024 for 1 night. Front desk was very efficient and well organised. Helpful, polite and welcoming. Stopped in room 121 and the room was exceptionally clean. Infact faultless! I could go as far to say that the room is the cleanest Premier Inn I've stopped in. Not a thing out of place either. Lovely quiet room with a comfy double bed. Morrisons is across the road and there is a pub on the same site. This hotel scores a 10 from me if your visiting Burton upon Trent. Excellent in my opinion!

Premier Inn would like you to believe it’s something special but based on this experience it’s severely overpriced for what’s on offer. The staff were welcoming on arrival but the way the hotel is laid out you don’t see them again unless you go out of your way to, which makes it feel a little impersonal. Several aspects of the room failed to work e.g. power sockets, no hook on bathroom door where one should obviously be. My main problem was no opening window and no way to cool the room below 19C. No fan provided either. Couldn’t have breakfast at 08.30 on a Sunday because I hadn’t booked. Less than inspiring location in an industrial estate. This is basically a motel for >£100 per night before any meals (if you can get one). I guess the main trade is for East Midlands airport? Won’t be rushing back here.

We have stayed here a few times before so expected a good time. We were put in a room in the original part of the building. This overlooked the car park and as I would realise later the air conditioning units. The room itself was fine but on closer inspection I noticed toe nail clippings under the bed so not cleaned that well. At least 4 times during our stay I had to take the key card back as it stopped working. Our first night and the pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable, the bed rolled together in the middle and the hum of the air conditioning units kept me awake. On our second day we got back to the room and it felt cold. I went to reception and they manually switched it on. Coming back later the room was like a sauna and the control panel would not switch the heating off. Another visit to reception and they once again overode the system. The control panel in the room never worked for the rest of our stay. As cleaning is no longer done unless you ask, on the second day I asked for cleaning the next day as the towels were very wet, no towel rail to dry on, and the bins were getting full. We left at 9am the next day but when we returned a few hours later we were told they could not clean as the room needs to be empty. I explained we had been out all morning. They did send someone who came quickly and changed the towels and emptied the bins whilst we waited in the corridor. My other issue is due to the increasing restrictions we had to wear a mask whilst in the hotel which we didn't have a problem with. My problem is that most of our stay the reception staff did not wear a mask. Not very responsible. Would we stay here again when we go back to see our Son. Probably not. Shame as we usually enjoyed staying there.

Never stayed in a hotel before and looked into quite a few, was a bit of a walk away but was definitely worth it. I’m planning another trip this next month and will be using them again, staff and rooms were everything I could have needed

This is the friendliest and most customer focused Premier Inn I have EVER stayed in thanks to Georgie and Nico. The room and furniture are as you would expect from any other hotel in the chain. Breakfast is served in the Beefeater next door so take an umbrella. Also, if you use the toaster, you will need a good book to read🙂 The boiler had broken down when I visited Beefeater but the staff were friendly and efficient.
