Location: The hotel is conveniently located not far from the entrance of Wumeng Prairie, though it’s a bit farther from the exit. I’d recommend staying here the night before entering Wumeng Prairie. The area feels quite remote, as it’s in a small town, which gives it a peaceful atmosphere. Food: They serve a delicious breakfast, all cooked by the hotel owner couple themselves. You can even order lunch and dinner from them. I especially loved their eggplant dish! Service: The service was excellent. There’s no elevator since the hotel only has a few floors, but a strong young lady helped carry our luggage up to the room, which was much appreciated. When we had a car issue, the hotel owner kindly came to help us figure it out. The kindness from the Guizhou people has been a highlight of our trip. Room: We loved our room—it had a cozy couch and a separate sleeping area. There was no air conditioning, but it wasn’t needed as the weather inside was cool and comfortable.

Lying in bed, you could embrace the entire grassland, and at night, the Milky Way twinkled through the window—it was breathtakingly beautiful. The oversized floor-to-ceiling windows framed the natural world like a painting, and even the air was filled with a sweet scent! The butler service was incredibly attentive, helping with luggage and sharing travel guides. Enjoying a hand-brewed coffee at the Cowshed Coffee Shop while watching the clouds roll by, and then reading a book in the library while listening to the wind sing—that's what a true vacation is! Every detail is thoughtfully crafted, and I regret not staying a few more nights. Shifang Yunshe doesn't sell rooms; it sells the poetry and distant horizons of the clouds!
