Visited with family for Sunday lunch. Very good menu choice, great Sunday dinner well cooked, and tasty. Lovely restaurant setting. Great sea views. Excellent friendly service. Worth a visit. Will definitely visit again. Free wi-fi also offered.

Great experience at the Fairways today for Sunday lunch. Food was really good. The only down side is that there was no menu option for a vegetarian Sunday lunch. The only veggie option was potato gnocchi which did not come with the Sunday lunch trimmings. All six of us enjoyed the food. No room for dessert. Worth a visit.

After doing a night shift working for the NHS and supporting my grandmother who is living with Dementia, myself and my partner decided to go for a walk down Porthcawl Sea Front. When I was getting my coat out the car sushi accidentally fell onto the floor I picked up my plastic from the floor and put in the bin however left a couple of sushi rolls as there were birds near by (in hindsight I should of picked them up, in which I recognise was wrong). On return to my car I noticed this note on my windscreen, when myself and my partner opened up we were shocked to see what a well known hotel could of wrote. 'SCRUFFY F***ERS'. We just couldn't believe it, this hotel/restaurant being a regular visit for years, were we have been loyal customers could write such a disgusting thing. We 'scruffy f***ers' have no intention of visiting the restaurant/hotel again, along with family/friends. Thank you for the professionalism!!!!! from what it seems a really friendly staff member. I am disgusted.

Wonderful restaurant, scenic location on the sea front, great food and excellent staff. Pity they don't deploy their best asset, a first floor terrace from which I'm sure they could serve premium cocktails on a sunny day. However..... Two Sundays in a row now, from about 3pm our relaxing drink on the terrace was marred by the presence of a female pub singer armed with guitar and amp. First time we left and crossed the road to the neighbouring Atlantic Hotel as did most in her immediate vicinity. I noted later she was playing to an audience of two. The performing artiste appeared again this Sunday and once more we decamped to the Atlantic as did an entire table of about six ladies who were sat just inside the restaurant next to the open door. The restaurant already had ambient music that didn't intrude on our post repast chill out. Why then we were forced to escape while the artiste sang songs such as "Delilah" and "American Pie" with her own unique twist. She's obviously driving away business. Front garden of The Atlantic Hotel was full of Fairways Hotel refugees.

We arrived here at 3 pm after a lovely walk along the coastline. The restaurant was quite busy and without making a booking didn’t expect them to find us a table. Luckily the very helpful manager found us a nice table in the very spacious orangrie. Service from all staff exceptional and the food was very good. ( homemade everything) Looking forward to our next visit there !!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch outside today under the newly erected Pergola. We ordered fish & chips and the monkfish curry which we can highly recommend. The service we received from Ian was friendly and welcoming, can’t wait to return to try the mussels!
