What a fabulous hotel in a beautiful setting. We spent a weekend here to escape the heatwave before school holidays start. There was a hiccup in our reservation which was dealt with really well prior to our stay. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, there was so much for children to do and the setting is very stylish for a family hotel. My 6 year old who does not like to stay in kids clubs loved the den and did not want to leave. The spa was lovely and just enough adults only areas to relax. Hotel was fully booked during our stay but it never felt busy or too noisy. We will return this autumn!

Had to write a short (albeit delayed) review to thank this hotel. My daughter and I were walking across the New Forest and got caught in a deluge. We arrived dripping wet at lunchtime, with no reservation, but with an urgent need for food, shelter and drying out. The hotel couldn't have been kinder and less stuffy. Despite being a beautifully presented hotel, they didn't mind our bedraggled presence, even tolerating us drying out hiking socks on the fender in front of the fire (not something I make a habit of!) Food was awesome, staff were lovely, atmosphere was great / child friendly. Loved it - and so grateful too.
Response from Property: Dear Dom186361, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review, even if it has taken a little while to write. I am so pleased that, despite arriving at New Park Manor in rather challenging circumstances, we were able to provide exactly what you needed. A warm welcome, somewhere to dry off and a good lunch can make all the difference after an unexpected soaking. It is particularly pleasing to read your comments about the team. We are incredibly proud of creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable from the moment they arrive, whether they are dressed for lunch or fresh from a walk across the New Forest. On this occasion, I think we can safely say the fire had an important role to play as well. Thank you also for your kind words about the food, atmosphere and the family focused feel of the hotel. I will ensure your comments are shared with the team, who will be delighted to know they made such a positive impression. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you and your daughter back again, perhaps under rather sunnier skies next time. Best wishes, Byron

I booked afternoon tea on 6th of December for 2 adults and 3 kids. This was our first Afternoon Tea at New Park Manor and we were not disappointed. The selection of sandwiches and sweet treats was great and the scones were warm and delicious. Kids and adults selections were different and the presentation of both was amazing. There was a good choice of teas. The highlight of the day was Santa who was just wonderful. He addressed the kids by their names, asked them few questions and gave them little gifts. We had very enjoyable afternoon. Special mention to Oakley for helping my daughter when she wanted to buy little NPM reindeer.
Response from Property: Dear Edyta S, Thank you very much for such a lovely review. I am delighted that your first Afternoon Tea at New Park Manor set the bar where it should be. It is wonderful to hear that both the adult and children’s teas were enjoyed and that the detail and presentation stood out, as well as those all important warm scones. Santa will be particularly pleased to know he made such a memorable impression. He takes his role very seriously and clearly had a great afternoon with your children. Thank you also for mentioning Oakley. I will make sure your kind words are shared with him. Helping a budding reindeer collector is clearly an important part of the job. We very much hope to welcome you back again soon, Santa or no Santa. Best wishes, Byron

What a fantastic venue—warm, welcoming, and perfectly suited for both families and dogs. It even managed to impress our 16-year-old son, which says a lot! With the forest right on the doorstep, it’s perfect for scenic dog walks—and the hotel’s dog washing station made it easy to clean off those muddy paws afterward. We did not try the spa so cannot comment (we will have to go back!). Our room was very spacious, the food was exceptional ...what a great week end away!
Response from Property: Dear diggers64Cambridge, Thank you for such a generous review. I am delighted that you had such a relaxing weekend with us, and even more so that we managed to win over your 16 year old. That is no small achievement. It is wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed the setting. Having the forest on our doorstep is something quite special, and I am pleased it made for some memorable walks. I will also pass on your comments regarding the dog facilities, as the team take real pride in ensuring our four legged guests are just as well looked after. I am equally pleased that you found your room spacious and the food exceptional. That balance of comfort and quality is exactly what we strive for. We shall look forward to welcoming you back soon, perhaps next time with a visit to the spa so you can complete the experience. Best wishes, Byron

This hotel is great if you have young children as they are well catered for and the parents can enjoy spa time whilst the children are in the excellent creche. The hotel itself is in a beautiful setting with good facilities for adults too. The food in the evening was good but the cooked breakfast included in the room rate was served buffet style and was disappointing especially the streaky fat laden bacon and over cooked hash browns. I would have expected better from a hotel of this standard. The staff were absolutely wonderful in all areas. It was a busy sunny weekend and no fault of the staff but service was very slow on the terrace. On a number of occasions we wanted to order food and a round of drinks but had to find staff members to assist. In the end we gave up and went to a local pub. We had afternoon tea which lacked finesse for the price charged. Sandwiches okay, scones nice, cakes were very unimaginative pieces of sponge with piped butter cream on top and a basic mini cheese cake (no fancy patisserie) and certainly not worth the money. Again no fault of the staff but service was very slow. For electric car drivers there are Podpoint chargers at a reasonable rate.

Visited for afternoon tea which had been a gift for Christmas. Very disappointed. Friendly welcome from nice male receptionist but beyond that service was abysmal. No conversation and no check back during our food, not even an offer of more tea or hot water. The sandwiches were acceptable and the scones were nice. One fruit and one plain would have been better than all fruit. Two out of the four sweet treats were nice but the two sponge options were dry and tasteless. Nowhere near value for money for the £70 cost. We didn’t get loose leaf tea either, presumably as it was decaf but we were not told this. Sorry we didn’t tip but with three front of house staff standing around in an otherwise virtually empty lounge and restaurant and not one check back in our enjoyment or otherwise we didn’t feel it was justified. Felt quite shabby and tired in areas and not on a par with other local large hotels. We are local and know that we can get an extremely nice afternoon tea in Brockenhurst and for a lesser amount. Also we were eating at 12.30 and most of our conversation was drowned out by someone hoovering so not at all relaxing. Sorry but it needs saying.
Response from Property: Dear Rosemary T, Thank you for your feedback. I will be candid. This does not read like the experience we set out to deliver, nor one that aligns with the consistent feedback we receive from the vast majority of our guests. At present, I am unable to identify your visit from the details provided. That makes it difficult to properly investigate, which is frustrating for both of us. I would very much welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly so we can understand exactly what went wrong and address it properly. There are elements you have highlighted that are simply not in keeping with our standards. A lack of engagement from the team, no check back, and basic service steps missed is not acceptable. Equally, afternoon tea should feel considered and generous, not something that leaves you weighing up value afterwards. On the point of the tea itself, you should have been advised clearly if your selection limited the offering. That is a communication failure, not a preference issue. The ambience you describe is also disappointing. Afternoon tea should feel calm and unhurried. Hoovering during service rather defeats the point. I will also say this. It is always a shame when concerns are only shared after departure, particularly publicly, as it removes our ability to correct things in the moment. Most of what you describe could have been resolved there and then with a simple conversation. That said, the responsibility still sits with us to get it right first time. Please do contact me directly so I can look into this fully and respond to you with some substance rather than generalities. I would far prefer to turn this around than leave it as it stands. Best wishes, Byron

What a wonderful hotel! The staff are so responsive, attentive and kind. It was our first trip away with a small baby and they really do provide everything you could need. We will absolutely be back. Thank you so much for a great stay.
Response from Property: Dear anabX6534AM, Thank you for such a lovely review. We know how important that first trip away with a little one is, so it means a great deal to hear that you felt supported and well looked after throughout your stay. I will be sure to share your kind words with the team, they will be delighted. We very much look forward to welcoming you back for your next visit, hopefully with just as much rest and a little less packing. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us. Best wishes, Byron

I loved it here, it was such a warm welcome with amazing staff. I had a show around the hotel which was amazing with lovely rooms and an amazing spa section. We had afternoon tea which had a broad range of sandwiches, cakes and some scones. Would defiantly recommend for a family stay.
Response from Property: Dear Go66156930389, Thank you for such a generous review. It is a pleasure to read. I am delighted the team made you feel so welcome from the outset. That first impression matters, and they will be very proud to know it stood out. I am equally pleased you enjoyed exploring the hotel and had the chance to experience both the rooms and the spa. Afternoon tea is something we take great care over, so it is wonderful to hear you enjoyed both the variety and the quality. It should feel like a real occasion, not just a meal. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back, perhaps for a longer stay next time. Best wishes, Byron

Amazing stay for 2 nights with our 3 young children as a family of 5 (aged 10 months, 3 & 5 years). We were so impressed with the kids club which was run by brilliant friendly staff and was filled with so many amazing toys and beautifully arranged and decorated - our 3 loved their sessions each day (whilst we enjoyed the spa which was equally wonderful!). There were so many little added touches that really made it, and there was so much going on the whole time, we could barely fit everything in! From multiple evening cinema sessions with popcorn, evening milk and cookies, pool sessions, a magician and balloon creator over dinner and multiple kids toys to play with everywhere etc - we were really impressed. All the staff were exceptionally good at their jobs, and very friendly and helpful - the only thing we would mention was that there perhaps needed to be a couple more staff at the busiest times over breakfast and dinner for top notch service. But we really rated this beautiful hotel and can’t wait to visit again!
Response from Property: Dear 362nathaliet, Thank you for such a generous review. Reading that you managed to fit in cinema nights, milk and cookies, pool time, magicians and still find a moment for the spa is exactly what we hope families experience with us. Busy in the best possible way, yet completely stress free. I am especially pleased that your three little ones loved their time in the kids club. The team put enormous thought into the detail, from how the rooms are set to the energy they bring to every session, so your comments will mean a great deal to them. Thank you also for the balanced note regarding staffing at peak breakfast and dinner times. You are right. When we are at our busiest, service should still feel effortless. We are reviewing team levels around those pressure points to ensure the experience remains as polished as it should be. It was a pleasure to look after your family. We will be ready with the popcorn when you return. Best wishes, Byron

I had a Sunday roast here and it was absolutely delicious — honestly, I’ve never eaten anything this wonderful before. The beef was melting in my mouth, the vegetables were perfectly roasted, and everything was brought together by a flawless gravy. I highly recommend this place because anyone will be satisfied with a Sunday roast prepared like this. On top of that, the service was at a very high and professional level.
Response from Property: Dear radoslawb367, Thank you for such glowing praise. To hear that this was the best Sunday roast you have ever eaten is not something we take lightly. Our chefs will be delighted to know the beef hit the mark and that the vegetables and gravy delivered exactly as they should. A Sunday roast is a simple thing done properly, but there is nowhere to hide if it is not right. I am pleased we did it justice. I am equally pleased that the service matched the food. Warm, polished and professional is the standard we set for ourselves every week. We look forward to welcoming you back for another Sunday done properly. Best wishes, Byron

This place is certainly below the standard it portrays online. We stayed for 3 nights @ £500 per night in a Superior room. The room was tiny, 24 sq meters including bathroom, the TV on the wall took up a third of the wall ! Room sizes not advertised on-line ( not on the mobile site I used ). Perhaps a bigger room would have been better, but not for £700 a night. Simply not worth it. Food was mostly good. Fairly simple evening menu. Breakfasts could be better and seemed rather average. The main dining room is not that pleasant and needs a good clean. The waiting-on staff excellent and attentive, apart from the General Manager who seemed to be most unwell on our visit. Coughing and sweating profusely and STILL insisting on waiting-on tables. Simply terrible ! I had to ask one of the staff for them to serve my food and not him. He was pleasant enough, but just needs to let his team get on with it, especially if he thinks coughing everywhere with peoples food is OK. Tip, it is NOT. Food left on tables in communal areas for hours with staff just walking past. Place needs a massive clean and some areas need updating / attention if they wish to charge the rates they advertise. The hotel is landlocked and surrounded by fenced roads. It’s not a particularly attractive situation nor close to the woods. In fact a band of touring caravans surround it. The entrance drive was scruffy with a discarded toilet greeting you for 2 days. First impressions count ! The Spa was excellent and on a different level. Clean, professional environment well organised. The hotel is geared towards a family experience & my 4 year old liked the aerial runway. Adults might struggle with the overall standard of the offering. I did speak to the manager and he seemed to understand my point of view.

Over priced … due to New Forrest Show substandard … much better locally however convenient. If anyone watches 4 in a bed Chn 4. This place would received less than Half of their rate and would you return! Thats a NO. Bathroom Tiny small with shower curtain YUKK, bed small for such a large room. Tidily bedside cabinets useless. Furniture in room needs a skip! Restaurant food was cold sent back. Lots of kids around.. over rated over priced. Stay away better options locally.

This was an absolute joke Christmas Turkey lunch. Two thin pieces of rubber turkey- not carved but seemed like processed with a rubbery circle of something supposed to be stuffing. A small dish of cranberry and some unappetising looking carrots and turnips. This is a complete rip-off and Manor Park should be ashamed of themselves. I couldn't complain at the time because my 87 year old mother was taking us there for a treat. Stay well away from this place if you want an acceptable Christmas Lunch.
Response from Property: Dear Slocs1, Thank you for your review. We believe this feedback has been posted to the wrong property, as it does not relate to any dining experience at New Park Manor. We would kindly encourage you to contact the correct venue so they can address your concerns directly. Best wishes, Byron

We booked Sunday lunch in the restaurant to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary having spent our wedding night at the hotel all those years ago. The food and drink were fabulous, but what really made it for us was the staff. They went out of their way to make it a special occasion for us.
Response from Property: Dear Steve-Dod, Thank you for choosing to return to us for such an important milestone. It is a privilege to play even a small part in your 30th anniversary, especially knowing the hotel was where your story began all those years ago. I am thrilled that your Sunday lunch felt worthy of the occasion and that the team made the experience memorable. They will be genuinely delighted to know their care and attention helped make your celebration that little bit more special. We hope the next chapter brings many more reasons to celebrate, and it would be our pleasure to welcome you back whenever you feel the pull of nostalgia – or simply a superb lunch. Best wishes, Byron
