Hotel Oasis Park Splash

I booked as it was a good deal and having a large family the price suited as were travelling to Caribbean in February and wanted to pre prepare autistic child for flying , the area is a bit of a ghost town few little bars but nothing exciting if you wanted to pre occupy your kids beyond the hotel, I did take mine to marineland and to the water park was approx 28 euros to marine land and 45 to the Waterpark in a cab. The hotel pool could not accommodate all the guests felt pretty squashed together, sun loungers are all cramped together, rooms were modern and cleanish although bits of mould on the air vents, room door keys wouldn’t work constantly and the hotel restaurant was manic and overcrowded, food was nice though, good variety, staff pleasant. Was a bit annoying all the noise from other guests in the corridors at 1am but guess the price attracts a certain type, Is a nice hotel for what you pay but not somewhere I’d return too. Beach is about a 10 min walk, there’s a little shop not far , wasn’t the worst but could have been better.

Lovely, clean, family friendly hotel. Rooms are nice. Pools are lovely too and we had endless hours of fun on the water slides. The food is exceptional considering it is buffet style and it offers a great variety of choice. Nothing is left sitting for too long and trays are replenished as soon as they are empty so there is no mad dash for anything. Staff were also very accommodating and the hotel is a lovely 10 minute stroll from the beach and main shopping area.

After I booked the holiday I had read the reviews about the hotel and I thought oh no I dreaded going but how I was wrong as I honest can't fault this hotel as rooms are clean comfortable, good friendly staff, great pools , food was excellent as we had fussy eater even enjoyed food so do yourself a favour and don't believe every review you read as people expect 5 star hotel on a budget price so enjoy your holiday here as we did and we have booked up for our return holiday here next year as I couldn't fault this place

As honest as can be After reading reviews I must admit I was slightly dreading the stay but it didn’t turn out to badly. I’ve tried to be as honest as possible and informative. We went out of Season which I do believe helped out experience and I do think had we’d of gone in school holidays I’d be writing a very different review . The hotel its self is on a hill and spread over multiple levels. Is fairly close to amenities but if you have mobility issues the location of the hotel could be a problem due to being up hill. A taxi from the hotel to the main shops is around €7. The hotel was clean and welcoming and staff were very friendly. The rooms we stayed in were a good size with two double beds. The beds were great and had memory foam mattresses. Plenty of storage and a fridge in the room. There is a maid daily but bedding only changed once during our stay. The food started to become an issue towards the end of the week due to the lack of options if you don’t eat fish or meat (although at time some of this was questionable) Even the people who ate most thing’s struggled at times with the main dishes. There wasn’t a lot of option for kids they found themselves eating chips or pasta most nights. One good tip though is the pasta sauce taste like a fresh tomato soup so we ate this at times. Breakfast most definitely was the better of the meals lots of pastries, cooked breakfast , pancakes, fresh fruit ect. There is a pool bar with slushies, ice cream, chips, burgers, hotdogs ect. The soft drinks let this down as they were awful and tasted watered down. We had a slushies almost every drink as just could drink the fizzy on offer. There are 3 pools and a jacuzzi and a small spa. Split across the levels. The kids pools was great for the little ones (bottom level) . Then there was an average size pool with the jacuzzi to the side (main level). Then a very small almost paddling pool size (top level) only accessible via two flights of stairs. We stay out of the main summer season and there was no we’re near enough space around the pools for the size of the hotel. It became a little dangerous at times. The life guards were pretty useless unless they spotted an inflatable then got up and stopped going in the pool. I can fully understand any that in the school holidays this would be hell round the pool. The spa cost €12 per person for 40mins but it’s a private session and have sole use and it’s lovely if you’re in need of a break from the madness. The is a children’s club with a small soft play. There was plenty to do in here for the kids and they enjoyed going in. The entertainment could be better as not much else going on in the hotel until 9pm when there is a 30 min disco for kids and then a small bit for the adults after. In conclusion it was a decent hotel and a good Cheap and cheerful hotel. As long a you don’t expect the ritz then you should be okay.

During dinner my husbands phone went missing, we contacted staff who were very polite to see if phone was handed in, and again the next morning with no joy. So we decided to report the phone missing asked manager to check CCTV he refused and said no property should be left unattended. (We never left the table my husband went for a smoke) and he had a very defensive attitude and was very little help so my husband reported it to the police and police rang the hotel and insisted we were given access to the cctv footage. During observation of the footage you can clearly see my husband put his phone on table and when he left for cigarette the phone was still on the table and between soon after he left a staff member went to my husbands area of the table and cleared it away, soon after this we noticed the phone was gone and I would like to add that not one person or child staying in the hotel had come near our table for the duration of our dinner. And at the end of dinner when table was cleaned the entire area was checked before anyone else had a chance to use the table. Then the manager threatened to kick us out of the hotel because my husband was demanding that the manager investigate the issue and return his phone. Absolutely disgusting man should not be working in the hospitality sector. The reception, Bar and pool staff are lovely can’t take away from their effort to make our stay enjoyable.

This hotel is not a 4 star hotel it is more like a 2-3. The food was horrendous and we ate out every night which is not what we expected after paying to be all inclusive. A number of other guests we spoke to had also eaten out every day/night. The food is repetitive, under cooked. The swimming pool is small, there is hardly any space around the pool for sun loungers. If there are sun loungers right next to the pool it makes it dangerous walking around as there is literally no room between the bed and the pool. The children’s pool is freezing, it’s always in the shade so it doesn’t get chance to warm up. The only good thing is it does keep children out of the sun but then they get cold quickly. The tiles around the pool and the stairs get very slippery, there were a number of accidents when we were there including my partner who slipped down the stairs with our child in his arms. They need to re think the flooring outside and on the stairs. It is so noisy, guests don’t care about other guests. We had people bang on our door early hours in the morning waking our children. Our bathroom stank of urine the whole time we were there. I complained a number of times and nothing was done. One particular life guard sat on his phone rather than watching people in the pool. He missed a child having a nose bleed and another member of staff had to blow a whistle a number of times to get his attention. The children’s slides are good that’s probably the only good thing I can say about this hotel.

I’ve not even left this hotel yet and already having to put a bad review! I can’t wait to get out of here and get home. It’s been nothing but miserable here! Day 1 arrival staff very rude! Barely a word of English! Everytime we spoke to them they would look at each other talk in there language and laugh at us! We went all inclusive thinking we would save money, little did we know that’s one of the worst mistakes we could have made! The food here is DISGUSTING! Freezing Cold burgers and dry cold chips! Drinks at shocking! All fizzy drinks are watered down and the alcohol doesn’t even feel like your drinking alcohol. My sons been poorly since day 2 constantly being sick my guess would be from the food! The swimming pools are dirty! Your never be lucky enough to get a sun lounger because there’s no way near enough! This hotel is a sh*t show! No outdoor entertainment like stated! No kids activities! We have spent most of our money eating and drinking out just to avoid doing it here! So before u think of all inclusive save your money for eating elsewhere! Each night I’ve tried to reach out to ring reception to complain about the ****** on top of us banging and stamping around gone 1am in the morning! Reception have no Interest in resolving it. Cockroaches in our bedroom, bathroom sick completely blocked! Shower floods the whole bathroom, no clean sheets all week I wouldn’t even say this is a 3 star hotel! My 2 boys are bored in this hotel at the ages of 6&8! Highly recommend looking anywhere but here!

Hotel clean no entertainment for kids except an hour disco from 9pm no daytime entertainment no music .the food is the same every day and not nice apart from salad. kids running riot up and down stairs until 1am knocking on doors it's not as they advertised think twice if you want to keep kids happy
