Hotels near Alcazar de la Puerta de Sevilla in Campina de Carmona

A small group of eight of us visited for a week commencing 15th May to attend a week long sporting event. Carmona is a very picturesque and atmospheric hill top town with plenty of restaurants and bars - unfortunately for us, it was the week of the May Fair so most of it was closed making it difficult to find meals in the evenings. However, the ice-cream parlour (Helados Arques Los Valencianos)in Plaza de San Fernando was absolutely amazing, delicious gelato made on the premises (the tutti fruitti). We stayed at the Hotel Alcázar de La Reina, having booked some seven months before our stay. The booking was based on pay on arrival, however 1 month before arrival the hotel demanded all of the payment up front. Despite querying this in e-mail and phoning the hotel I was unable to get the hotel to honour the terms of the original booking or for the general manager to return my call. It was immensely frustrating that on checking out, that the advance payments hadn’t been credited to the rooms and it took quite a heated conversation with the receptionist to get it resolved - of course once again the management were absent. The hotel has nice rooms (although the bathrooms are a little tired), the staff in the restaurant (especially Antonio) are fantastic as are the breakfast staff. The management seem non-existent and the reception staff less than helpful. The Parador de Carmona hotel is certainly worth a visit for drinks or a meal with views to die for. We’d definitely visit Carmona again but would not stay at Hotel Alcázar de La Reina, their unscrupulous business practices left a very sour after taste.

The hotel was rebuilt from the former bishop's residence. I think the bishop's life was really cool. The hotel is on the mountain. The scenery is really beautiful. It is suitable for the brothers who drive by themselves. The hotel is just outside the town and the scenery is very beautiful.

On the edge of the city of Seville, but there are 27 and 28 roads, the traffic is still convenient, the earliest class is 6 o'clock, if you catch the early flight is not recommended. The hotel is very comfortable, the room is large, similar to the suite, it is the quilt. Recommended to stay.

Hotel parking is convenient. Suitable for family outings. But there are no commercial supermarkets around, far from the main city of Seville. Suitable for families traveling by car. Air-conditioned accommodation is ok.

We recently stayed at this hotel. We had a very comfortable stay, the room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful! We really enjoyed using the pool everyday and enjoyed the facilities. The only problem is that the walls are very very thin. This is not the staff/ hotel’s fault but on our final night, the guests next door and above were extremely loud. You could hear their conversations, they were banging their suitcases around until 1am and walking up and down in heels. The receptionist was very helpful and asked them to keep it down, but it is important to remember that this is a business hotel, so other guests are up late and awake early to prepare for work so we were woken up at 6am each day by other guests outside our room. I would highly recommend asking for a top floor room or bringing ear plugs!! It is quite far from the centre and the bus gets quite busy - but overall it is not difficult to get into town.

Without a doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in! We stayed at Legado Oromana Hotel as it is not too far from Seville. María, the lovely hotel receptionist that checked us in, was incredibly helpful and provided us with guidance on getting to Seville via public transport. María also provided us with maps of Alcalá de Guadaíra and Seville. This made our lives so much easier and saved us lots of time and money! The hotel itself is lovely, with stunning views of the village. The rooms are well kept, have good amenities, and were regularly cleaned. There is also an on sight restaurant that does breakfast buffets. The staff are super friendly and the food was great. You can also really easily arrange taxis by asking at reception which we found really useful. My wife secretly mentioned my birthday while we were over there and arranged with the staff to bring a little treat to our room as a surprise for me - this was so sweet and again, the staff were incredible in this gesture. We also received recommendations for great places to visit and eat locally (thank you Franc!)The staff were very accommodating and hospitable, and were happy to attend to our requests. Despite our basic Spanish, the staff were also very patient and understanding. As our first proper holiday, the staff at Legado Oromana Hotel made it a very special one. We were really sad to leave, but look forward to coming back. A special thank you to María, Franc, and Julio for your incredible service and hospitality. We stayed one night having flown in from France before driving to Portugal for 6 days holiday. We enjoyed a glass of wine before retiring for the night, good taste at a good price. Breakfast was self service with plenty of choice and plenty of everything, tables well spaced in line with suggested Covid regulations. Car park below the hotel cost also included in nightly charge.
