We arrived here on Easter Sunday for a 5 day family holiday with friends, both familes having booked the 2/4 person houses. Having read some of the negative reviews, I was anxious as to what we may find but we had a wonderful week! Due to covid, the hotel was no longer offering a restaurant service, however the small shop (epicerie) beside reception offered bread and croissants for purchase in the morning (subject to reservation on the previous evening), as well as the restaurant offering a small selection of food for takeaway (delicious pizza!). Whilst not a cheap option, and despite the houses being compact, we had everything we needed. The kids spent hours in the pool, the kitchen offered the facilities we required, and we were blessed with a week of beautiful sunshine so we could take advantage of the patio area and outdoor tables and chairs. The site was a 15 min downhill walk to the beautiful port at Cancale. Walking along the port, past the oyster market and up onto the cliff walk is highly recommended! I did not find the accommodation dated as some previous reviewers have said. (possibly it has been renovated since the 2019 review?). The kitchen had a fridge-freezer, an induction hob, dishwasher and a microwave with oven functions (no oven in kitchens is pretty standard for French rental accommodation in my experience). The compactness of the house means that the only toilet is downstairs which can be a pain for those sleeping upstairs if nature calls in the middle of the night! This is my only gripe :D The staff we interacted with couldn't have been more friendly. We had requested ahead of time that our two houses be located close to each other and were delighted to find on check in that we didn't need to remind the staff of this, with our houses being back to back. All in all, a fab stay - we will be back!
