The window is next to the road and the noise is relatively loud. Breakfast is bread and milk delivered outside the door.

Even though it is a motel, it is in the center of the town, next to a Michelin restaurant. The town is very quiet and there are many medical shops. All the restaurants are very good.

The hotel with extremely poor sanitation claims to provide breakfast service (I don't know if it has been verified), but in fact it doesn't exist at all. Not recommended to stay.

I was in Carmel for my son's wedding in early April. Months ago I made several reservations for family members who would be attending. Four rooms total were reserved. note: The hotel was renovated within the past few months. No issues with cleanliness, fixtures, water pressure was great, etc. Location was ideal for doing walk-around to restaurants and shopping. We only needed the car for going to Point Lobos, 17 mile Drive, Cannery Row, Fisherman's wharf, etc. Basic breakfast is provided, but there are at least four great breakfast/brunch spots within a four minute walk of your room. (Recommend the Swiss Cafe and Katy's, Katy's is cash only, btw) There's a local supermarket within about two blocks. Nice deck/seating area on the second level. Weather was too cold/windy but it would be a perfect place to sit if you're putting a plan together for the day or waiting for someone to get ready. The other three couples told me I'd made a great choice.

Great location in the middle of everything, close to the beach, the hotel is in a quiet area. Hotel was clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of parking, walking distance to everything. The only downfall I’d say is there is no air, so it was kinda hot at night even though we tried keeping the window cracked. The ceiling fan would’ve helped a lot but it automatically turns off after a certain time so we had to get up in the middle of the night turning it back on.

Great location, great price, decent hotel. The room was clean and fine, the free parking was nice. The office has limited hours and the included breakfast basket is just OK. You need to ask for it, and you need to know about it to ask for it. If you want to stay right in Carmel, in easy walking distance to town, for a good price, this place does the job.

Rating this a 3/5 due to cleanliness. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating, and the breakfast delivered in a basket each morning was adorable. But we had an ant infestation in the bathroom and the bathtub was leaking. The ceilings and walls were also dirty. The location is great so overall, decent for the price.

overpriced, cramped rooms. We requested a handicapped room for aged parents and got a room that they could not navigate with either a wheelchair or a walker. There were no other rooms available. A poor breakfast. Broken fixtures in each of the 2 rooms we rented. I will never go there again.
