Had Sunday lunch here. The food was excellent and one of the best roast dinners I have had in many years. The portions were generous, the staff were friendly and the service was quick. There was a good choice on the menu if roast dinners are not your thing as well. I also had a dessert which again was one of the best I have had in a long time. I visit Kerry quite often and will likely make this one of my regular stops for food. (Just be aware there is no disabled bathroom, but access in and out of the premises for a wheelchair (the pub anyway) is very easy.

Liz was very kind and accommodating. We had a late check-in and she was waiting on us even though she had the day off. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Unfortunately we came to Ireland during an unseasonably warm time and the rooms did not have AC even though the listing stated it did. Keeping the windows open helped a little but allowed lots of bugs inside. Would still book again during cooler weather times.

Where to start Dropped in to check the Guinness antiques in the old inn and a quick drink and snack After a look at all posters, murals and artefacts on the walls we were greeted by the owner We were treated to an excellent rundown of the area where to go and what to see Her local knowledge was extensive and gave us a great head start on where to go and what to see in the area We were given a full detailed handwritten map of everything. A true gem In Ireland 🇮🇪

Ideally located to visit both the Dingle peninsula and the Ring of Kerry! Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. We also loved having dinner at their restaurant on both evenings. Their roast turkey ham was simply delicious!

The Anvil is a nice traditionnal pub, after having had a couple of pints a few days ago we decided to have dinner there. 30min after ordering, our friends couple was served and the waitress told us the oven had a problem and that our dish would be served with a 20min delay! We bought it until we saw other persons having ordered after us being served... We were just forgotten... The food was nice, as usual for irish pub food, quantities are very good. My friend and I then ordered Irish coffee for a dessert and I experienced something new for my 5th travel to Ireland : a sugar free Irish coffee ! A real shame ! How disappointed we were! Waiters are very young, maybe it is the reason, but for almost 100€ (4 people with drinks), we expected something much better. We definitly won't come back for lunch.

Absolutely wonderful stay for our family. We were greeted with such warm hospitality and that continued through every minute of our stay. The charming bar/dining room and bedrooms/bathrooms were sparkling clean. The food and drink were great. While lively ( in a great way) during the day, the evenings were quiet and relaxing and the beds were very comfortable. The owner/hostess went above and beyond, providing a take-away sandwich for our horribly early departure, setting up a spectacular day of exploration of the area complete with a hand drawn map and customized tips that made it perfect for the four of us (including two teens) — we discovered so much more about the gorgeous area thanks to her. A+ stay. 5 Stars. Thank you!
