La Casa Cottage Resort

We had a family reunion at La Casa Mirador on Thanksgiving weekend 2023, with more than 35 (all ages) attending. The facility was beyond any expectations with sleep accommodations for 28, along with the La Casa Cottages in very close proximity. The guest house had fully equipped kitchens (multiple ovens, fridges, dishwashers, etc.) and a huge dining area. We really lucked out weather-wise, so we were able to sit out on the beautiful third-floor terrace which offered fabulous views of Lake Okanagan with plentiful seating and sun umbrellas. There were many amenities and activities available in and around La Casa, including a 100+ seat theatre on the lower level where the kids were able to relax and wind down watching their favourite movies. The site manager was friendly and helpful, and guided us so we could enjoy a kayak adventure. We chose to rent one of the La Casa Cottages and were happy to find a very clean, fully equipped home away from home with a great view and comfortable beds. La Casa Mirador offered the most perfect venue for our large family to gather, reconnect, cook fabulous meals, enjoy each other’s company, and leave feeling fully loved and appreciated. We have a family with children. There were MICE droppings (and peeing?) all over the house, including towels, toilet, beds, floor, at the time of check-in in late evening. UNHEALTHY AND UNACCEPTABLE house conditions, especially for kids ! We have pictures, and we left the house the morning after. This guy Dikran will call you but remains anonymous, no first and last name, no address, no phone numbers, no email address. Now he is challenging the refunds. Filing a small claims is the only way to make them pay!

We had our wedding at the Mirador guest house on June 3, 2023. We were so incredibly happy with our entire experience the entire weekend. We hosted a Welcome BBQ on the Friday night up on the third floor terrace with stunning views of the lake. On the Saturday we had our ceremony up at the view point which is managed separately by the strata. We hosted the reception in the ballroom. Cheryl was there on both days to assist with organizing the chairs, tables, linens etc which made setup extremely smooth for us. As well, I had forgotten one table cloth and Cheryl was there on Saturday to organize that for me. Our entire bridal party and their partners were able to stay on-site in the guest house with us which made the weekend so much more fun! We used the fourth floor as the bridal suite for getting ready in the morning and the groomsmen used the third floor. I hired wedding coordinators to be on-site to organize the day which I would recommend for a self-serve style venue. The house was clean and well-organized and we had zero issues all weekend. Communication leading up to the wedding was great and all my emails were responded to very quickly. In summary, we had an amazing weekend and would highly recommend La Casa Mirador as a wedding venue. Our guests raved about the unique venue and the stunning views.

We had a good time at the cottages. Be prepared to drive or hike up and down the hills to the pool or the lake. We rented some paddle boards for the lake which was super fun. But they should have the rentals down by the water not up the hills where you have to drive the boards up and down. Beach and pool were pretty crowded and access to the beach is a bit difficult for older people

The view is fabulous. Spotless, beautifully decorated and worth every penny. Our host Melissa was so attentive and provided everything we needed. Must stay here if you are in the area! Pools, hot tubs, mini golf, gated community. All in exceptional order! I’m coming back next year and you should too!!

We booked La Casa Mirador for our wedding and have mixed feelings on the experience. The guest house is spectacular - we knew that from the moment we toured it. It is massive and very well-appointed. Everyone who stayed there was quite impressed. It was a lovely venue for a wedding and our photos are stunning. However, the process leading up to the wedding was quite stressful as La Casa staff made it very hard for us to get information. It was an atypical year with COVID and forest fires that put La Casa on evacuation order for several days the month before our wedding, so I understand that some uncertainty is to be expected, but it was very difficult for us to get ahold of staff there and even more difficult to get ahold of staff who actually knew what was going on. Our emails and calls were often unanswered and when we did get to talk to someone we often got conflicting information. It took several calls and emails just to get them to process our payment and there were constantly mix-ups with our booking. It made for a lot of undue stress in the process.
