Island Club Hotel & Apartments

Perfect for us, we like a no fuss, comfortable place with low key but helpful staff, safety, places nearby to eat and walk and this has it all, with free parking and large apartments thrown in. You won’t love it if you like 5 star luxury or want to be in the V&A Waterfront. We loved it and will come again.

l had such an amazing time.The view was to die for and it was very close to canal walk we could literally walk to the mall. It was beautiful .Food was very nice .Thank you so much for the hospitality l will definitely come again . The place is also very safe

My family and I are returning customers and can highly recommend the apartments. We stayed there again in February and everything is spacious and clean. And the staff is SO friendly! Also, the location is very safe and it takes three minutes to walk to Canal Walk, the shopping center. Staying at Island Club definitely feels like a home away from home. And we will return.

Having recently been in the area for training i decided to stay the week as i was my first visit to South Africa. The location is in a great location with excellant security, what appealed to me is also you have the mall which is accessable via a bridge, plenty of places to walk and a park. getting around town is easy and affordable, i used UBER which was perfect, will definatley stay there again when i return with my family. the staff serving breakfast, THEO and the lady making breakfast were very friendly nad gave an excellant service and definatley an asset.

I was very happy with my stay. It was a convenient central and safe location. The facilities were perfect and the help from the staff made the stay very comfortable. The room was clean. I was disappointed that there was no washing machine in the room.

Pillows are fluffy and comfy. Room was excellent and was value for money Walking didlstance from Canal Walk mall From booking, check in and during stay the staff was very accommedating. Breakfast is optional, however all the restaurants across the canal offer breakfast (cross over by foot bridge)

Beautiful location, friendly staff who make it their mission to make you feel at home. The rooms were cleaned daily at high standards, the breakfast staff were attentive to everyone and they knew your order instead of having to repeat it daily. They informed us about different bookings we could make in the city and were also happy to make those arrangements for us. We definitely want to come back.

Overall a beautiful and pleasant stay, the staff are very polite, helpful and professional. I included the birthday package since the Mrs had her birthday whilst we were are the hotel and the hotel staff went out of their way to make it a wonderful surprise and the deco and balloons were a nice touch! My family loved the place and we will def be back!

We were disappointed with the hotel overall. Access to our room was difficult, across a cobbled square and through a dirty basement car park. Our room had been made up with clean linen and towels but the condition of the room overall was very poor and well below what we would have expected of a four star. The room had obviously just been painted as the paint smell was overwhelming. The sliding doors onto the terrace (also very dirty) were very difficult to open and close because of all the sand and dirt in the rails. We ended up having to leave these open all night to avoid being overwhelmed by the smell of fresh paint. This also meant that all we could hear was the sound of the giant airconditioning systems on the roof of the shopping center across the square. The floors were sticky in both the bedroom and the bathroom and did not feel or look clean. We ended up wearing shoes or socks everywhere we walked in the room which was more than a little unpleasant. Much of the furniture in the rooms was in very poor condition. Specifically the seating. Both chairs in the room were not clean. The soft desk chair was particularly unclean and heavily soiled. At check out we did mention some of the many issues we expereince with the room and were met with a shrug and a prompt goodbye. We would NOT recommend this establishment. There are significantly better and more cost effective options in and around Century City.
