We visited this well run hotel - 19th - 27th September - all the staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. Our room 406 was very well appointed and bed very comfortable. Airconditioned which we used when the nights were hot. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The hotel is in a good position, just moments walk to the Old Town, and a 12-15 minute to the nearest beach. Breakfast excellent choices of hot & cold food, with local selection of cakes, savoury and sweet Cretin pies. Local selection of bread and large selection of unusual jams and breakfast spreads. I would like to thank personally Nikos (Food & Beverage Manager)- for his friendship and ensuring that our breakfast meal was being enjoyed. He spoke to us personally each morning and he gave us some good information of places to visit outside Chania. Also I would like to thank - Emmanuella (Front of House- Reception)- again her friendship and she would also talk to us every time we passed the front desk. She again gave us very valuable information of places to visit, and organised taxi's and booked a day-trip by coach and boat. Emmanuella was again very polite, helpful yet professional, and helped make our holiday most memorable. A big thank you also to Necteria (breakfast server)- every morning she spoke to us, and remembered our breakfast order, she was so kind and helpful. We would certainly return to Samaria Hotel, and would recommend without hesitation - we have some lovely memories. Hotel has a good swimming pool,

Stayed in suite with sea view. The view was amazing. The room was lovely, bed super comfy. There was a nice vanity table to get ready at. Bathroom was big and clean. The service at reception were very helpful. The location was great right in old town but not too noisy - music from restaurant in evening but I liked it and church bells on Sunday. I really enjoyed my stay here and was very happy with the suite. Couple of things to point out: there was no furniture on the balconies and aside from a pouf, no furniture in room to move outside. So meant nothing to sit on to enjoy balcony and it’s view. Also the curtain was only half curtain so to block out light need to shut the shutters which then restricts air. I didn’t mind but if you want darkness to sleep might need to bring eye mask. Like I said only minor things. Overall great place. Hot water - i mention as I know this is important to people :)

From the very beginning the owner welcomed us with such care. The place itself it’s located perfectly outside the rush of people but yet still so close to the city of Chania (8/10mins by car). The establishment is super nice and well kept surrounded by bamboo and olive trees. The rooms are near each other and most of them are overlooking the pool. Room itself was very very clean and towels,bedsheets,products were smelling really nice. You can see that the place is well maintained and taken very good care of! It’s also PET FRIENDLY with stray cats(which you’ll see either in the morning or at night without even bothering you) another reason why we booked this establishment as we brought our own dog which was well accepted without any additional costs or useless comments. Our holiday is still ongoing as we booked for 5 days but it’s a must to leave a positive comment to such a beautiful place and people. To who ever sees this post don’t think twice and just book it! Hotel location is very good, a few minutes walk from the old town, breakfast is very good, the front desk service is also very good, the room is not big, but the design is very reasonable, there is a balcony, blowing, very comfortable

We stayed here on our first time visit to Crete and it did not disappoint! The hotel is in the heart of the Old Town and a few feet from a plethora of restaurants and shops! The hotel is situated in front of the harbor that is buzzing with people and activities. Our room had an amazing sea view! We could not get enough of the gorgeous view! Our room was well-sized and pretty. The hotel staff were very attentive and accommodating. The included breakfast was generous and included traditional Cretan fare with fruits, pastries, eggs, assorted breads, etc., Neo Chora beach is walking distance from the hotel. We spent an enjoyable time on this quiet beach. I would stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

We visited the Halepa hotel after a long time again. The property has now been partially upgraded. Some rooms have been refurbished to a more modern touch, there is a fully functional Gym and a sauna, even an electric car charging station. The roof garden is being used as a relaxation area with a whirlpool. All in all, the hotel has not lost its touch at all! The friendly staff go out of their way to accommodate their guests, and nothing is too much trouble. For me, the hotel's highlight is its location. It is close enough to walk into Chania center, and away from all the noise of the city. The area is full of old charming houses, and in close proximity you will find the house of one of Greece's most longstanding politicians, Eleftherios Venizelos. We definitely will visit again!
