Every staff member I encountered – from reception to housekeeping – went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendliness, efficiency, and genuine hospitality really made me feel valued as a guest. They even help me to follow up with my taobao delivery of parcels. Well down for all staff. The hotel’s room & lobby cleanliness is well-maintained. My room felt fresh, tidy, and inviting, with thoughtful touches that showed the care and attention put into daily upkeep. The housekeeping team did an amazing job, and I truly appreciated their promptness and consistency throughout my stay. The location is also a major highlight – conveniently situated near key attractions located inside Chaozhou oldtown, dining options, yet peaceful enough for a restful night’s sleep. It made exploring the area effortless, and I could easily return to the hotel for a quick rest before heading out again. Take note this hotel is located inside the old town, may need to walk to main road for didi. The amenities exceeded my expectations. The facilities were modern, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed to cater to both leisure and big group of families. From the relaxing lounge areas to the private villa facilities with massage chair and in-room conveniences, everything was in place to make my stay both enjoyable and productive. Overall, my experience here was nothing short of excellent. It’s rare to find a place that delivers consistently on all fronts – cleanliness, service, location, and amenities – but this hotel truly does. Chaoyi Minglin Mansion is a courtyard style inn of Chaozhou ancient residential buildings invested and operated by Chaoyi Minglin Mansion Tourism Management Co., Ltd. The original owner was Lin Xichun, the Minister of the Ming Dynasty. The mansion was built by Lin Xichun during his leisurely visit to the forest and has a history of over 400 years. The inn retains the traditional architectural layout of local ancient houses, providing customers with an immersive "museum" living experience. The Minglin Mansion faces west to east and is a three entry courtyard. On both sides of the main gate, there are standing stone drums and blue brick walls, granite, depicting traces of 400 years of wind and rain, exuding a strong historical charm. Chaozhou Gongfu Tea, Chaozhou Woodcarving, Chaozhou Ceramics, Chaozhou Cuisine and other craft and cultural imprints are scattered throughout every corner of the mansion. Through this model of Ming Dynasty mansion architecture, many aspects of Chaozhou culture can be read. The style of the guest rooms varies greatly, and the room names are all taken from Lin Xichun's poetry, reflecting the basic concept of "bringing poetry into life" in homestays. Rain storm weather the day I visited, they used an electric cart to pick us up from nearby gate point, their 24 hours host and hostess were very nice. The Morocco deco theme is very unique in the old town. I like the huge bath pool but didn't do a proper job sealing the deposable plastic cover, so I could only enjoy foot spa instead of full body. Overall, it was a nice stay, even my Mandarin couldn't control the smart system properly. I hope they offer English version.
