This was one pf the best hotel stays ever. From welcome ap to departure. Great team, spotless clean and comfortable room. Great concept where even small might be outstanding. Thank you.

Interesting hotel. Rooms are very small - beware if you are tall because the beds fit the room exactly and there is no room for your feet to hang off the end of the bed. Matress was super hard and uncomfortable. That said, very clean hotel. Great staff. Excellent location.

Really cute place, perfect for singles or couples. Was able to walk around places easily because of the location. Would definitely come back here

I have stayed at several citizen M hotels- love the style, tiny sleep pod rooms and mood controls. Chicago’s is definitely the worst. The staff was so incredibly not helpful it was baffling. You basically check yourself in, if you have not done it before it is confusing especially if you are above the age of 40. There is usually a staff person to help, mine was too busy placing a to go order for herself. The most frustrating part of Citizen M is how badly the media connections are in the room they basically don’t work- you can spend hours trying to connect to chrome cast. The bar and lounge area usually set these places apart. My first night the bartender could barely look up from her phone to get anyone a drink, their QR codes weren’t working and she seemed clueless and angry when the few patrons tried to order - second night slightly better and ate some food which is not very good- asking the bartender what the fries were like she said “like normal fries” - bad food options and too expensive for the quality. My friend got a beer and was told it was different than what the tap pull said - The breakfast is decent and some nice options like make your own avocado toast. The bed is crazy hard but my Citizen M work around is to fold the comforter in half to add some cushioning. I recommend selecting “light clean” on the app each night since the rooms are so small, ask for a jug of water and bucket of ice for room at bar.

This is a great hotel. This is my first time here but I t will now be my go to spot for my stays in Chicago. I only gave the “service” 3 stars instead of 5 like every other category because, while I can’t speak for the bar, the check in and check out are all self service. There is a staff member to guide you but you do all the work. Also, you have to be pretty tech savvy when staying here because the rooms are completely automated with a literal iPad that controls everything from the blinds to the lights to the curtains. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Man. This property would’ve been nice if some paid half as much attention to the functionality as they did to the aesthetics. The heat in the rooms was under designed for Chicago. The room couldn’t get about 68 degrees. There’s no outlet by the bed and the entire room (lighting, tv, HVAC) is controlled by a tablet. And you can’t control the lights individually. So if you want the bedroom dim but want to have brighter lights in the bathroom you’re out of luck. And if you’re in a room with 2 windows you can’t control the window shades independently for each window. And the least frustrating part was that no one came along all week to swap towel or dump trash. We had to ask each time. The place looks great but it was a horrible experience. Would not recommend.

Great location, everything was just as outlined in the description. The bed was comfy, and the room was quiet. My only complaint was that we could smell the **** (from the room next door) even though it was a non smoking facility. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking for prime location in the city.
