Akti Beach Hotel & Village Resort

Visited with my 10 year old son, cannot fault anything, great food and drinks, really nice room, every where was spotlessly clean. Good entertainment and an overall laid back atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone and hopefully be lucky enough to return.

Just home from a lovely relaxing week away here with my hubby, room was big and clean.however, I could do with updating food & drink were ideal for us. Entertainment staff very enthusiastic and all staff friendly. We couldn't fault anything.

We stayed at Akti Beach April 2024 for 12 nights, a family of 4 in a 1 bedroom apartment (number 108). We enjoyed our holiday very much and found Akti Beach to be a great base. The location is lovely set on the coast with a lovely cove great for swimming and snorkeling a stones throw from your sun bed (which we never had to fight for!). The food was of a reasonable standard overall and we all enjoyed our meals. The deserts were the usual all inclusive tray bake sponge offerings which I don't like, but occasionally there were some rather nice cakes. The complex is clean and tidy, the pools were clean. Drinks are proper strength. The cocktail bar is table service in the evening which was a nice touch and the staff were continually checking if anyone had an order to place. In comparison to other all inclusive hotels, the evening entertainment was pretty good and the daytime activities were available for those who wanted to join in but not pushed upon you if you didn't. My only criticisms are: 1. Our bathroom was grotty...not grotty as in dirty, but old and mouldy with a shower curtain that wasn't long enough, resulting in the floor being soaked every night...it didn't make for a nice bathing experience, I just wanted yo get in and out as fast as possible. Staying in the bathroom...the shelf above the sink, beneath the mirror....why do they do that? If I hit my head on it once, I must have hit it a hundred times! Housekeeping did a mediocre job, they changed towels as and when requested and emptied bins daily, but we had to ask for fresh sheets after 7 nights, which was done straight away, but apparently should be done every 3 nights. They were not changed again during our stay. The floors in the apartment were mopped every day, but didn't appear to have been swept first, so every couple of days I would borrow a broom off the cleaning trolley and do it myself ( I have 2 long haired daughters and mine falls out terribly so it was very evident). 2. There are not enough staff in the restaurant to turn tables around quickly enough. They were concentrating on inside the restaurant and not getting to the tables outside (where I would much rather eat on a nice evening). I quickly located the cutlery drawer and cleaning equipment and would simply clear plates and glasses onto another table and wipe it and lay it out for us myself . Did I complain about these things? No. I don't ho on holiday to get her up over things, but did it just take the edge off? A bit yes. If it hasn't been for those things it would have been a 5 star review. One thing that I was thrilled about was they managed to deliver what I consider to be the holy grail in a bedroom....a dressing table, with a mirror and light, with a plug socket next to it! Why many hotels can't get that right I'll never understand, so well done Akti beach on that front! There are a number of cats who live in the complex, they are fed by a volunteer lady daily and their presence didn't bother

Arrived Fri 12 April for 10 nights at Akti Beach Hotel and had requested a ground floor apartment due to mobility issues. On arrival our room was as requested and had a separate bedroom. Balcony was also large which got the sun in the afternoons. Found it easy to get around using just a walking stick as very flat. Very pretty and if able could walk along one way to Paphos or other way to Coral Bay. Used the shuttle bus to Paphos. Staff very friendly and when I asked for a cocktail suitable for a diabetic the bar manager kindly came over and sorted ones out for me. Managed to play French Boules and Shuffleboard which was put on by Mr Q one of the entertainment staff. Very friendly guy. Entertainment was as you would expect abroad with mini disco for children, bingo and visiting acts including a very good entertaining guitar player and singer. Food was good even for myself who is very fussy with an excellent breakfast choice. Everywhere so clean. Plenty of sunbeds put out on the grass area overlooking the sea.

We knew we were going to be looked after from the minute we checked in. We landed in the evening and didn’t get to the hotel until 9pm. As we checked in reception informed us that due to missing dinner they had arranged the for the kitchen to make us some snacks to take to our room while we settled in for the night. The room itself was lovely and spacious, clean and modern. We had a queen room and a balcony with a great view. The beds and pillows were also really comfortable - better than most hotels we have been to. The room was cleaned daily which was nice to come back to. The location of the hotel is really good for a relaxing holiday. It’s right next to a nice passage perfect for swimming in the sea and snorkelling and paddle boarding. There are opportunities for walks and some nice scenic views. The food at the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was out favourite time of day as there was just so much to choose from that ranges from savoury, sweet, pancakes, savoury toppings, sweet ones, cheeses, ham, salamis, I would happily go back for the breakfast alone! Dinner and lunch options was always good and we were never left feeling hungry or like we needed to snack! The staff were all attentive and friendly and would do their best to cater for ever need. The entertainment were fantastic. A great bunch who always put a smile on peoples faces with the shows and entertainment they put on. There was never a dull moment! Mr Q would always make sure to say hello and we always felt welcomed and part of a little family! Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning!

Just returned from this Beautiful place,everything was as described and in fact exceeded our expectations.We had a huge one bedroom apartment on the ground floor very close to the small well stocked shop,very handy for all your holiday essentials. The bed was extremely comfortable .The food was typical of all inclusive and had themed nights and some show cooking.This Hotel was kept spotless by a team of friendly cleaners.The entertainments team did a grand job ,especially the very energetic Quinton or Mr Q .The only downside was that there was no beach but we knew that beforehand.You could go into the sea via a slope and gravel path but it was very slippery so stuck to the pool.We had a very relaxing holiday and will definitely return .

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Akti. We were so worried about coming to an all inclusive as our young daughter is coeliac and we were concerned about what our experience would be. We were absolutely delighted that the chefs went above and beyond to cater for her and highlighted things she should avoid due to cross contamination. They took our concerns seriously and helped make a brilliant time away for us. Location and rooms are great, all staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We only had a couple of small things We used the hotel shuttle to Paphos. We knew there was a €5 charge per person. We thought babies on laps would be excluded as they weren’t taking up a seat but we were charged for our 6 month old. The only other thing was that after our room was cleaned we found that some of the windows and doors had been left slightly open. With an energetic 4 year old in tow we ended up having to make sure routes of escape were checked before she could play. Just a bit odd but may be worth being aware in case you are in the same situation as us All that being said, our daughter asked us yesterday if she could stay at the hotel with us forever because she enjoyed it so much, so just a huge thank you ☺️

second time to akti beach hotel and just as good as the first time we arrived at hotel late evening and was given a pack up( nice touch) we managed to get a few drinks before it closed then to our lovely room in the hotel building which was very nice this was a complete chill holiday for me and the wife we took full advantage of that we had no faults at all staff/food /room/drinks all good the only down side for me was there was no table tennis table this year as ive been practicing so i could beat the wife and last year they had sky sports in the hotel lounge for all the football all the staff are fantastic reception very helpful bar staff are great our cleaner was brill the restaurant staff are very good especially paula the manger and all the waiters... would i go back ABSOLUTELY hopefully next year........ thank you all for a great chilled holiday martin/jeanette

Me and my partner could not of enjoyed this holiday/hotel more than we have! All staff are helpful, welcoming, professional and friendly. Food was really good too, different themed night every night which rotates weekly. Themes such as French, Italian, International, Cypriot, BBQ, Mexican, Oriental; all served with plenty of desserts to choose from as well as soft drinks & alcoholic drinks - salad bar was delicious too! Breakfast, snack and lunch was also good due to the options of light bites and meals. Room was decent, bog standard hotel room which is all you need, cleaned to a very good standard each day. Cleaning staff really friendly and professional too. As for entertainment, lots of stuff to do during the day such as water polo, cocktail games, darts tournaments, french boules, shuffleboard, aquafit & many more. Evening entertainment was good too, kids disco every night followed by bingo and the main entertainment for that evening which ranged from comedy acts, magic show, games night, traditional dancing, adult disco, fire show and all sorts! Even accommodated to the weather by coming up with games and entertainment for indoors when weather wasn’t the warmest. The entertainment team was by far the BEST team I’ve come across from my time travelling, so welcoming and friendly. Sara, Mr Q and Kiera are the perfect team!!! Found out Mr Q has only been a part of the team for a couple of weeks in which I believed he was part of the furniture with how fab he is with the team and with the guests. Such a great stay and holiday, could not of stayed anywhere better!
