Sandals Halcyon Beach (Shc)

My wife and I just returned from a 5 day/4 night stay at Sandals Halcyon Beach for our 20th wedding anniversary. We were greeted by the staff with a song, and since we stayed at Concierge level, was introduced to the concierge staff before being shown to our room. The resort is very well laid out, and easy to walk. We stayed in a Beachfront Club Level Walkout Room with Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub, and to be able to walk out from our room to the beach was awesome. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We had special dietary needs and met with the chef and several of the sous-chefs when we arrived as well as during each meal to make go over menu options and alternative dishes that could be made. On our first night at the resort, since we had such a long travel day, my wife and I were very hungry. We were looking for a place to eat, and Vanessa, one of the RedLane Spa massage therapists happened to see us wandering around aimlessly and took us to the Bistro to get some food. She helped us with the wait staff find a table and asked if we had any allergies that she could convey to the staff. Vanessa told us how she gives massages and asked if we were interested in getting one during our visit, and I let her know it was something I planned on doing. She scheduled my massage as she was assisting the restaurant, so I didn't have to go to their service desk to make an appointment. There are activities throughout the day you can participate in, as well as schedule an excursion for other activities around the island. Because a lot of people seemed to want to go out and explore, during the day it was easy to find a spot to lay by the pool or beach, and order drinks and snacks as you enjoyed the sunshine. My massage with Vanessa was scheduled for 90 minutes, and she used the entire time for a deep tissue massage. The massage was excellent, and Vanessa asked questions to make sure I was getting the pressure I needed, even correcting me on how intense I should take it. The oils and towel were nice and hot and really added to the effect of the massage. During our stay we booked a taxi into Castries to do some local shopping, and that was a lot of fun to see touristy things to buy, as well as talk to the different shop owners. However, two cruise ships just came in, so it was rather busy. If you decide to go to the market area for shopping, 2 hours is a good amount of time to walk around and look at things. Visiting the other Sandals resorts as easy as there is a routine shuttle schedule every day, so you can plan your stay at the other resorts if you want to try out their restaurants, pools, or if you have dinner reservations. When we had any questions about how to go about and do things or schedule things, the Concierge was always available to assist, even scheduling our taxi service needs. We have stayed here many times since 2008 and always have a wonderful time. This visit was for ten nights encompassing Welcome Home week, previously known as Reunion week. This is always from Easter Monday until the Friday night finale. Lots of treats for returning guests and we were treated Royally ( especially at the ****** Royale themed returning dinner. A great evening with a James Bond vibe. We also reveled in a catamaran cruise to enjoy Caribbean beats and food, as well as some beverages, whilst capturing a beautiful sunset as we sailed in Marigot Bay. My wife was delighted to see the Michael Jackson show - her fourth time! It’s worth experiencing this for the choreography alone. We were also treated to some wonderful outings and local visits. Our room was comfortable and had all the usual amenities, some of which we don’t utilize and others that are more our thing. We stay in ground level rooms as we like to avoid stairs. The Halcyon does have accessible rooms and an excellent attitude to mobility and inclusivity. Also the acceptance of all couples, binary and non binary enhances the enjoyment of this beautiful resort on a fantastic island. Weddings and celebrations are well catered for and great care is put in regarding planning and execution. The Welcome Home week finale was a street BBQ cum street party that really rocked.

One of the best Sandals out there and the only one we have returned to. Adam, Jay and Boozie are fantastic entertainment at the pool area. The butler service never lets us down. The gardens are beautiful and the rooms are maintained wonderfully. Management walked to rooms to ask how things were. The restaurants are great choices. Perfect and relaxing vacation

Sandals Halcyon was an incredible vacation. The staff are exceptional: shout out to Zakiya, Maya, and Amy at the bistro. This resort has great food, a fun but also quiet atmosphere, and beautiful rooms. The hospitality is above and beyond. We will absolutely book here again in the future.

When booking our honeymoon I was not at first interested in going to a Sandals as i was worried they were too big and commercial. I am glad I changed my mind and booked for Sandals Halcyon! It is the smallest of the 3 on the island and this was the selling point for us. It was much quieter than the other resorts which suited us. If you are after a lively party atmosphere then I would recommend the Grand. We were Club level and felt this gave us all that we could need in service. Our concierge Kalan was a legend and helped us with everything we could need. He even took us on a personal tour to the Castries market and we shared a beer at the local craft brewery! 10/10 service, thank you Kalan!! Our room with balcony soaking tub was fantastic and overlooked the beach (if you stared really hard). The mini bar was restocked everyday and had a huge range of soft and alcoholic drinks. Room 9/10. The restaurants were all fantastic. We ate at Kellys for breakfast on our first morning, the food was great but we found the service to be a little slow so ate at the Bayside breakfast buffet the remaining 9 mornings which suited us well as we could eat quickly and get to sunbathing! Bayside in the evening was great and a nice romantic outdoor seating. Our favourite meal was at Marios, we went here twice. The dress code requires long trousers and shoes - i wore white trainers and these were fine you don't need smart shoes just no sandals/sliders. All the restaurant's were great and the sushi at Soy was the best we've ever had. Food is 9.5/10, the only let down was slow service but I think this is the Caribbean style. We took the on site scuba course and did a 20minute dive with our instructor Barney who was also a legend! I'd highly recommend trying this out if scuba is something that you've thought about. 10/10! We didn't participate in many other activities but the main pool had things happening all day. Wifi all round the resort was strong and reliable. The bus to the other resorts was easy to book and had fairly decent times. I would recommend getting up early to reserve a lounger as they all go by 9am! The guys on the beach give you a little hassle to book a tour but if you say you've already booked they leave you alone. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking to book a quiet romantic holiday away.

We skipped out on a reservation to do a dinner at our room and man it was a 10/10 experience. Our butler, Christal, was so accommodating. She decorated our table and made it romantic for our honeymoon. Everyone that we worked with was extremely nice, warming and welcoming. We came for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was spectacular and the service of the butlers that were provided to us were exceptional. They were extremely nice and took care of everything for us.

Overall I had an amazing trip. I would definitely go back. This location is beautiful. The lagoon pool was stunning! Most of the staff was so friendly. I definitely had my favorite food spots which were Kelly’s, and the sushi/hibachi restaurants. Bayside was just ok to me. The sushi place is first come first serve which was hard with our group of 4 since they only have 8 seats. The situation wasn’t handled well and we were split up and the one waitress made things really unpleasant. While the sushi’s was so good it was awkward to go back. The Bayside restaurant was just ok. If I went back I don’t think I would go except for breakfast. The Italian restaurant was pretty good. I wish some of the restaurants were open longer. Like the sushi restaurant. I feel like Sushi is a big attraction and to only have it open for three hours with eight seats. I had a birthday dinner planned on the beach that I paid for. It was so beautiful. The only bad thing is right after we had the first course of bread and butter…. It poured and it didn’t stop for a while. Mcklean took some amazing pictures that night. He also took charge and tried to fix things quickly after the rain storm to help us finish out the dinner. The butler service we had was awesome, especially when we had Gibson! He was such a light. So friendly and on top of things! When we didn’t have him is when we were unsure if things. I called a few times to have room service and no one seemed to ever know the menu which was frustrating. I asked what was on the menu and I couldn’t get much of an answer. And one time I called in the morning and asked for wine, and I didn’t get it til the afternoon. Probably about 5 hours later. The house keeping was always on top of things though. I loved the little notes and the special birthday champagne and balloons left. The excursions on the trip were amazing. I highly recommend doing them and going out of your comfort zone. The land and sea was really neat and you saw a lot of st. Lucia. We had some amazing experiences that are once in a lifetime. I also recommend the horseback riding. Once you got off the pavement part of the ride and got to the ocean…. Taking the horse so far into the water was such a cool experience. After the trip I decided to purchase some of the pictures from our photo session. I was going to do it at the resort, but they told me one price and then changed it and I was frustrated. So I said never mind and walked out. And then when I got home, I decided I had to have those pictures. I was having such a difficult time on my phone trying to order the pictures. So I was communicating with someone back-and-forth many emails. For $300 I received 20 digital photos and two of them were missing. So I wrote back and explained that. I just want the two pictures. I told them that I had changed two of them because I liked these other two better but clearly it didn’t take and now I feel like they are no

Last night at this resort, it has probably the best holiday that we have been on. Considering coming out again ASAP. Whilst all the staff have been brilliant, Shaquille on the beachfront delivering our drinks and Shervon and Saralee at Kelly’s have been by far the best. Big thanks to all that have made our holiday outstanding x

We just returned from a 7 day stay at Sandals Halcyon. We celebrated our honeymoon. The resort was gorgeous. Our favorite restaurants were Kimonos-Hibachi and Kelly's for dinner. I want to shout out to our bartender & server Chris. He was truly caring, attentive, and happy. He told us he wanted everyone to experience true happiness in life and while on vacation. We feel thar he is top notch! We also loved Captin Neil. He & his staff provided fun entertaining pool activities. Kareem went above and beyond for us each night. We loved to see him smiling and he made excellent drinks! Garfield went out of his way to make sure we had reservations to Gordon's. This was an amazing dinner at the Grande. Housekeeping did an amazing job cleaning and serving our rooms. We love the views and our time here. We visited the three other resorts and enjoyed them as well. We give this resort and staff mentioned a 5 Star review!
