Konocti Harbor Resort

This is a beautiful property. We didn't have any hot water, but the facility got someone out there and it was fixed within a few hours. We also had some ants and bug issues. Again, they came out an sprayed for them.

The staff was very welcoming and accomodations were clean and nice, my only discomfort was the shower. It was very small, my wife is 5'8" and the shower head was quite low for her. I'm 6'1" so it was challenging for me. Everything else about our stay was very nice, loved the lake view.

The bed was reasonably comfortable. Other than that, 3 out of 4 lights in the room didn't work. TV is streaming via WiFi only, but WiFi was down. So, no TV. Couldn't figure out how to operate the AC on night one. Figured it out on night two, although it was set to Celsius. Checked out 2 nights early since my biz in the area had concluded. Penalty charge per the booking for changing or cancelling the booking was 1 night stay taxes/fees, I was charged 2 nights taxes/fees. The venue refused to abide by the policy and refund the 1 night overcharge. I am still contesting the charge. My nickname for this place is: THE LAST RESORT

It was nice. Got an upgrade to a lake view room. Beautiful sunrise over the lake and full moon. Since it was business I only stayed one night. I'm not sure if the restaurant is seasonal.

The property staff were very friendly and wanting to make sure your stay was an enjoyable one. Friday night was a quiet and enjoyable night. Unit cleanliness was not up to par. Found animal hair in area rug in the living space. Sheet had stains at the bottom of the bed area. Kitchen stove was off limits, however microwave and refrigerator were in good working order. The restaurant and bar area was not available on Saturday due to a private event being held there. Pool area was chained an apparently was not accessible.Overall it appeared that they were closing down for the season. Room was spacious, the deck area was great and the view was very nice. If I decided to book in the future I would make sure that there were no private events taking place and the all services would be available.

I'd like to give this place a good review because the staff were all so friendly - but I can't. I booked through *******. Turns out if I'd gone to their website to book I would have seen that the only functioning restaurant/bar on the property was closed for a private event. We had to drive several miles to eat. This is a place that books itself as a "resort and spa". Ridiculous. This place was empty - and the end of September isn't that far off of peak season. But what really needs to happen is that the resort needs to notify ******* of amenity closures - just as 'real' resorts due when they have ongoing construction. Additionally, it looks like the facility was built in the 1960's and hasn't changed much. It is very old and tired. They clearly added room A/C's along the way, but when we checked in the room, it was so stuffy and musty. With just a handful of guests, they could have at least aired out the room! The beds were ok and they had a flat screen tv, but the bathrooms - yuck. Looked like the original tiny tiled showers. They made weird choices to 'upgrade' like a big electronic mirror - and crappy cabinetry and shower. Instead of painting the walls all the walls were covered in fake plastic marble. Because of the staff, beds and tv being ok, they get a 2. But there is NOTHING here. Maybe during summer with lots of boaters they have a little marina/launch. But it is not near any 'town' or any other place to go unless you get in a car and drive.

Went there end of august 2023. No services and amenities: bar closed, shop closed, rental closed. Have to drive out of the "resort" to have the basics (food, gas...). As there was no one on the resort it was eays to park. There was a door to the room where the A/C is set up outside the room. Prior guests left a lot of empty cans and trash and it was not cleaned when we came. I was told that I was not supposed to get there (sorry I am checking all entry points to an unknown room). Might be a good stay in HIGH season, out of it, forget it. The view as beautifull as it is is not worth the price requested (180 a night).

Absolutely beautiful lakeside location. An enormous property slowly making a recovery after some 10 years of abandonment. Nice staff. Accomodating management. Spotty amenities. Best check on availability of food, bar, deck etc. Since there is a skeletal staff. Also, be prepared to use staircase for 2nd flr rooms which you might not want to do with luggage. Only a fraction of the rooms ate remodeled and habitable. Modern fixtures of remote control ac, lighted bathroom mirror, small 'frig. Comfortable beds. No room phone. Can tell that remodel was more cover up by new surface to old style low bathroom sink top and low toilet. Evidently, no replumbing. Its such a beautiful spot, I wish them the best...

Location is terrific. Views are amazing. Very few services. Don't go if you plan on fishing on the property. Contacted property before going and was told fishing was allowed. At check in I once again asked about where we were allowed to fish and was told anywhere on the property which turned out to be incorrect. When setting up we were rudly told we could only fish over in a rocky section by the boat ramp which, at least for a senior is very difficult to get to the water without falling. Web page is very deceptive. We will go back but only when the place is worth the money.
