Had a wonderful time at Hotel Esplanade, great service, breakfast, room and view, cannot complain about a thing! Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for working so hard to achieve this. We will definitely be coming again if we are staying in Cologne!

This hotel had an excellent price-quality ratio! The hotel was very clean and warm, the room was spacious, the breakfast was really good and complete (had croissants, lots of different kinds of German bread), and the staff was also very nice and communicative. The lady who I checked in and checked out with was lovely, but all the staff was nice and spoke very well English.

A very nice, family owned, hotel. On walking distance from the centre. Room was good and everything very clean. The breakfast was excellent, with a lot of choice. And last but not least, the very friendly staff, with 24h receptionist. They wil do everything for you to feel comfortabele.

Great sized room. Basic but clean. close to a Xmas market and restaurants. Friendly and helpful people. Breakfasts are awesome my kids loved them. Slept well. We stayed in a family room. Close to trams.

The hotel is well located (about 30 mins easy walk to town centre) and the staff are very welcoming/friendly. Rooms are tidy / clean, beds are firm and comfortable. Breakfast has a good selection with some cooked, overall would recommend for a short city visit

This is a great option if you want lovely staff, great breakfast (seriously the most choice I have ever had) and a late check out! We especially loved the free gluhwein! Location was spot on too, walkable to great bars and restaurants and all the major attractions.

Great Location, all Christmas Markets in walking distance and great restaurants nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The service is excellent and we really liked the breakfast buffet - with Tablet service for freshly brewed coffee or, If one prefers, hot chocolate.

Very friendly staff. Well situated with a tram stop nearby. A public underground paid parking garage is on the other side of the street. Room a bit on the small side but so so clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Did not hear as much noise as expected, being on the street side. Breakfast is varied and fresh. Would definitely stay there again.
