Very nice small hotel in the heart of coral gables. The Italian restaurant is amazing. The only thing is the key is old school key for a real room which is hard to use. But aside from that very comfortable room

Great location. Great value. Clean. Quality staff. Nice historic touches in the building. Loved that they gave unlimited filtered water. Good sized room. Breakfast was very minimal; more of a European setup, which is nice for some or less nice for others, depending on preference. WiFi was very fast. Worked for hours with no issue.

Walking distance to several restaurants bars banks shopping -
Parking is easy once you understand it -
There's the street and the garage - each different and with their own system - learn them both and take your better option -
The hotel is a relic from 100 years ago - the windows are soundproof so no problem there - in the lobby you have a fantastic restaurant highly recommended by leading wine magazine - no brainer, stay there

Amazing staff and comfortable hotel.
The lift is traditional and can only be operated by staff, however they are very quick to respond when the lift is called/required.

We stayed four nights at Hotel St. Michel during a vacation in Miami before visiting the Everglades national park. We are a retired couple and loved the hotel and personal service its helpful staff provided, including guiding us in use of the free trolley. The hotel is reminiscent of charming old-world European hotels but has been updated with modern conveniences. It is located above a stylish Italian restaurant in a lovely section of Coral Gables within walking distance of shops and a variety of restaurants. Little Havana is a short drive away. The hotel is quiet, comfortable and charming, It even has an antique working elevator. There is a convenient parking garage across the street which charges $21 dollars for 24 hours but can be more if you do a lot of in and out parking. I would highly recommend this hotel. We found it to be an excellent base for exploring Miami and a quick and easy drive to and from the airport.

Super friendly staff in a lovely hotel with charm and style. Staff let us checkin early which was much appreciated. Good local restaurants within walking distance in a nice neighborhood. Would definitely stay there again.

Quoted a much cheaper price when I booked.
No one at desk at check in - -- there was sign stating will be right back and if need assistance with phone number...I waited for ten minutes then called #, the phone rang on the unattended desk. Other customers came in and we waited--other customers got assistance from restaurant staff-whom rang bell a lot and loud. Girl finally came. I asked for elevator but she said she had to help with it but obviously wanted me to wait while she checked in the other customers. I just dragged my bag up stairs. Key for door wouldn't work--had to go down to desk and wait again as she was no longer there--another 10 min wait. She couldn't get key to work either --5 sets of keys later and on third different room, I got in. I could not lock my door when I left as it was difficult to open lock. By the time I got down to check out the restaurant, the kitchen was closed
These accommodations are nice but definitely not worth cost or the frustration

The property is quaint , older but maintained. The plumbing however is an issue as I suspect would happen with a very old property. There’s also a constant vibration and humming in the rooms. The room was clean and conveniently located.
