"The Water Hotel is new and comfortable. It's very close to the attractions, and you can even spot wildlife right outside your room. Near the reception, you can see a wombat, and it even has a name! That wombat often tries to get into the reception, which is quite amusing."

"This hotel is flawless! It's located incredibly close to the park entrance, so you'll see lots of small animals right by your room. The surroundings are beautiful, and each 'cottage' is a private, large individual house with a fireplace – very comfortable. The only minor downside is the lack of Wi-Fi, which could be improved upon. While breakfast isn't particularly surprising, it's more than adequate. We also tried the dining options during our stay, and the food quality was excellent. I believe this is an outstanding choice for a trip to Cradle Mountain."

"Disappointing Stay - It's Not Worth the Price We booked a chalet listed as suitable for 4 guests. Like most hotels, we assumed the booking was based on the number of rooms rather than the number of guests, especially since no meals were included. Upon check-in with my family (4 guests and a toddler), the receptionist insisted our booking was only for 2 people and charged us for the additional guests which we were willing to accept. However, because we had a child (3 years old), we were told we had to be moved to a 6-person cabin with bunk beds and a queen bed, instead of the 1 king and 1 queen that we originally booked. The king bed would have been much more comfortable for co-sleeping. We were charged extra for this, and informed that only children aged 2 and below stay free, it was unusual and a policy that was not stated clearly at the time of booking. The staff were cold and unhelpful, which added to the overall disappointment. From check-in to general assistance, there was a clear lack of warmth and hospitality. It felt more transactional than welcoming, which is not what you'd expect from a destination hotel in such a beautiful location. The cabin itself was shabby and underwhelming for the price and especially during off-peak season. Amenities were minimal. Heating was poor, making the room uncomfortable in Cradle Mountain’s cold weather. The food quality at the restaurant was expensive and mediocre, nothing memorable or particularly enjoyable. `Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had. For what we paid, we could have stayed in far better accommodation in the area. Fortunately, Trip.com provided outstanding service throughout, which helped make up for the poor hotel experience. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel to others."

"The room completely exceeded our expectations, and the reception was very friendly. Initially, I thought the hotel looked a bit old from the official pictures, but once we checked in, I found it to be excellent. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness, furnishings, and overall environment. The location is great, less than 200 meters from the Visitor Center, and it's only a 3-minute drive to Peppers for dinner. It's also a 2-minute drive to the Cradle Mountain center. In the evenings, we even saw animals outside our room, which was a very special experience. We visited in autumn, and wood was already provided in the room, so burning charcoal in the stove ourselves was a lot of fun. All in all, we were very satisfied and would definitely choose this place again when we return to Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park."

"The stay was lovely. Booking in was a bit unclear. There are two parts, the part with the restaurant, then a short drive the part with the convenience store. Late check in they leave the envelope with keys at the convenience store. This was a bit confusing. You NEED to make advance booking for the restaurant if you want to have dinner there. The morning we wanted to book it was already full. The other day we got a reservation and the food was lovely. Very satisfied with the restaurant. Our place was very cute. It had the spa bath. The spa bath was not very clean and we had to wash it and run the spa jets. The rest was fab. Morning 2 we got snow and it was magical. Every morning birds came to say hi and you can see pademelons just walking and grazing outside. I think they go under the house maybe."
