This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Location was convenient and the area offers plenty of options for food and shopping close by. Although the downstairs areas were renovated, our room was not. 1. Sewer smell coming from bathroom. 2. Brown water out of shower 3. Microwave and phone not working. 4. Fridge cabinet door barely hanging on by one hinge. 5. Mold along sink and drain plug in tub inoperable. Due to the circumstances and cumulative discovery of all of these items over the time of our stay, it was not conducive to requesting a room change. If they were discovered at the beginning of our stay, we certainly would have done that.
We did make the property aware of the issues and while they were apologetic, made no effort to make things right to ensure our booking in the future.
As a long-term ******* customer and having experienced several similar circumstances over the years at different properties, it has caused me to wonder if guests who book through booking sites like ******* are placed in substandard/less desirable rooms compared to those who book directly with the hotel chain. There is a sense that we have no recourse other than to post a less than stellar review.
