First time in Texel with our family of three. Great staff, they made us vegan breakfast everyday. Very close to the beach. Be aware: it is extremely noisy at nights, even with the ear plugs the provide, it is in the heart of the party.

This hotel is right in the middle of town although it is nice and quiet. The accommodation was a 2 bedroom suite although the windows gave a restricted view as they where velux roof windows . The rooms are well appointed with a sofa and log burning stove . The rooms are not air conditioned so the room was very warm at night . The bathroom was well appointed and clean . The breakfast was adequate although a little restricted in choices. Car parking is included and safe

Rooms are big, but very basic and tired. Too tired for the price - I wouldn't have minded for a budget hotel, but this hotel doesnt sell itself as such. Beds far too soft, linen ripped, no airco, very noisy. Great location, near the beach and restaurants.

Really poor. Reception unattended. Waited 20 minutes to check in. Room of poor standard. Felt very bleak and in need of renovation. Breakfast ok but nothing special. For a dog friendly hotel to be told on entering restaurant “but not with dog!” not a great experience. Staff were cold, unwelcoming and disinterested in hotel guests. Will not return.

This is potentially one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. We stayed in the family room, which turned out to be right above a very noisy nightclub. No sleep until 5am. When we mentioned this to the manager the next morning, we were told that the hotel offered a great service in the form of ear plugs (!) and that there was nothing else they could do.

If you do not want a peaceful night but rather stay up to the thumping sounds of the next door club and its noisy drunk visitors, if you don’t like cleanliness and if helpful staff puts you off, by all means stay at this hotel. You won’t sleep a wink because of the outside racket from 11pm until 5am, you can enjoy the peeling wallpaper and the exceptionally unhelpful reception manager who told us we (and half their clients) are simply “unlucky” because they end up on the wrong and noisy side of the hotel. Clearly this hotel knows it’s offering bad service and shamelessly continues to do so. What is the point of a hotel if it can’t provide guests a good night sleep?

This is a nice hotel in the centre of De Koog, not too expensive. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom also spacious and there is good light above the mirror. The shower is good. There is a nice restaurant attached with excellent food. My only negative is that the bed was sagging in the middle, not so comfortable.

I think that the hotel need a good make over. It is worn down, poorly keept.

Very good location, nice rooms. Read the website prior which discussed that most of the rooms were noisy. This is definitely true, bring earplugs if you need them. Someone smoking in a room set off the fire alarm one night but that isn't their fault. Breakfast was reasonable. Wish they had at least one chair in the lobby, I had no where to sit and work in the middle of the night while my partner was asleep.

Pretty good basic hotel middle in De Koog. Very good location, all services of the De Koog are very near. Hotel have own parking area on the backyard of the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacey enough. I can think that next time I’ll visit in De Koog, I’ll stay in this hotel.

I really liked the location of the hotel as it is near the beach making it easy to enjoy beach at night.
