We have been traveling around Georgia staying at homes, and occasionally hotels, advertised by ***********. We decided to splash out entering Armenia and booked at the Tufenkian: Dzoraget hotel. On the plus side, a river runs right beside the hotel whose grey stone and austere exterior remind me of Aberdeen’s granite city. And the service staff are friendly and helpful. On the negative side, our room is small - almost a thid of the size we have booked in family homes. All the’luxuries - slippers, shower caps, etc. Do not make up for size or expense. Besides, there is barely enough room to open two suitcases! The internet is intermittent, and there are not enough plugs for two people with four devices. Georgians love thie gardens, and it is striking that the gardens at this hotel are neglected. Our window box is dry and empty. Why have one at all? The menu is interesting, the food good, but fot a good hotel, I expect more. Think twice before you book.
