This is a lovely place… BUT … some real issues. First of all, you must know that there are FIVE floors and no elevator, so if you are older, larger, slower, or have any mobility issues AT ALL, book a ground floor room ( there are only two.) It’s set up with no human reception at all, which I don’t like. You get in via a code, which wouldn’t be terrible except that getting internet or calling anyone when you are not from the UK is terribly complicated, so when we had an issue with lost luggage, it was really tough to sort. But the worst thing is that we were put in Room 9. We had to climb five flights of stairs with our suitcases and the last set of stairs was just ripe for an accident . No guard rail, striped carpet, narrow stairway that winds up to the two top attic rooms. The room is very pretty. Nicely renovated, but very little light in the kitchenette and bathroom. It’s like someone wanted to make it nice but left out critical basics.
