Destiny Student Meadow Court - Campus Accommodation

Excellent location. Clean room and decent sized. Shared areas smell of damp. Good shared cooking space but no pots or pans. There is zero sound proofing! You can hear every sound from other rooms. Floorboards creak in every part of the accommodation. Very noisy outside until 1:30 am. Lots of guests hanging around to check in/make phone calls/smoke. I had an issue at check in with providing photographic ID. I had booked on a 3rd party website and there is no mention of this. Was advised it was in the T&C’s but cannot see any mention of it. Due to my advancing years, this is not something I carry but with the help of staff it was rectified. Check in was quite a long process but staff are very nice.

Overpriced room with paper-thin walls.

Cheapest place available to us during the Fringe but surprisingly good. Sharing 2 bathrooms with the 5 rooms in our flat was not ideal but that is reflected in the price. The shared kitchen wasn't an issue as all we did was a light breakfast and made tea. The room was more than adequate, modern and very clean (as was the shared bathroom which was constantly cleaned). Staff were very helpful and friendly. We would certainly go back due to the good value.

The place is close to the city center (4-5 bus stations). There are nice coffee houses and shops close by. There is a park and playground for children at the end of the street. I liked the common room, where you could meet other guests and find some board games and a TV. One "But" - thin walls in the rooms.

I stayed in this accomodation for 2 nights. Friendly and excellent service from all staff. If you travel with limited budget, meadow court is one of the best options. The toilets and bathrooms are shared but the facilities and very clean and tidy. Overall, this is an excellent accomodation if you want to have a temporate stay.

Grubby and poorly maintained accommodation, walls and furniture were surface cleaned (wiped over with a spray and a cloth) but not properly cleaned, with evidence of heavy use over time e.g. finger marks, scuffing, grease etc which could easily be cleaned with the correct cleaning materials. There were no mattress or pillow protectors under the bed linen, which I would expect to be standard, in particular at this price point. Communal areas, especially bathroom and toilet areas, were not cleaned daily; every 2 days at best, which for an area with up to 8 different people using is concerning and unhygienic. There was no provision of a bathmat, or a mop to use to protect and clean the wet bathroom floors.

Near Summer Hall Venue for shows. Good bus links near a Sainsburys and local cafes plus pub and park nearby. Not keen on shared bathroom but good sized shared kitchen with fridge and washing machine so you do not have to bring your clothes home dirty.
