This was, and continues to be, a very unpleasant experience. I booked through Wotif and selected the pre-pay option, paying the room rate with my credit card.
Upon arriving at the property the reception did not have staff present and a message on the window stated that we should have already received a text message with instructions for check-in. I had not received those instructions. The message also stated that if there were any issues I should text a number, but not call, as if I called I would incur a call out fee. I sent a text off and received a text in response advising me that as I had not paid for the property I would not be able to access my room. I responded and explained that I had paid via Wotif. I then received a phone call from a man employed by the property advising me that they did not take payment through Wotif and that I would have to pay again if I wanted to access the room. He also told me that he would organise a refund through Wotif for me.
It was Christmas Eve and my friend and I needed somewhere to stay so I begrudgingly paid for the room again, reassured that I would be receiving a refund. The new fee was an additional $30.00 to the original fee that I had paid. I have not received a refund as Wotif require the property's consent to do this and clearly it has not been provided. I am now out of pocket $290.00.
In addition, the rooms were tired and there was no wifi. It was not worth the money I paid. Do not stay here, I do not recommend it.
