Perfect place to stay! Breathtaking mountain views. Immaculate rooms. Delicious breakfasts. Friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely stay here again. Enjoyed the crisp mountain air at night and the fireplace in our room.

The Taharaa is peaceful, beautiful, and luxurious. The beds are excellent, the amenities are high quality, and the homemade breakfast and morning coffee service make you feel right at home! A beautiful log lodge with a mountain vibe that will make you want to stay longer!❤️

The lodge is great and the rooms are fantastic, spacious, and cozy. I’d rate this 5 stars, but my only complaint is something I think is very important while staying in a lodge of this caliber. After a LONG day of travel, we got in the room at 1am and needed a long hot relaxing shower. But, the water pressure was non existent along with the water temp. I mean, like couldn’t wash hair or get the entire body washed. We filled cups in the sink to get all the soap off. I addressed it with the staff, but after a great day of hiking the next best thing is a long hot shower but it wasn’t or couldn’t be fixed by the time we got back late that evening. Fix the water issues and this is the prime spot! 10 min from the park entrance too!

Service and views are always top notch. Bathroom and carpet are starting to show a little age. Not bad but mgmt should stay aware of that before they get bad. Heat regulation in room was a challenge but once we got ac hoisin middle of night it was ok. Steakhouse was outstanding. We would still stay again!

This was an amazing experience! My wife and I had an amazing room and a beautiful view. This was our honeymoon and we definitely made the right choice. Not only was the room and view beautiful, but every morning we had fresh coffee to sit on our balcony and drink and fresh breakfast made every morning too. When we left to adventure for the evening our room was cleaned and left with new linens and towels every day. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Lastly I cannot put into words how delicious the food at the restaurant in the lodge was. We ate there a few times during our stay and every meal was just outstanding. We will definitely return, so see you next time in Estes! Mr and Mrs Swinehart

Great quit location, beautiful lodge and included breakfast and outdoor hot tub are big perks!!! Staff is very friendly and caring. We'll definitely come back. Thank you for such wonderful service!!!!

The lodge is staffed a small part of the day, check-in for example is 3-5, but be sure to ask for an extension before you go because signal strength on the phone can be poor in the area. The room was lovely and the view superb. The AC was very difficult to use. The ice machine is downstairs, outside the building by the onsite restaurant. Yes, you have to go outside, unless the kitchen is open (again, limited time, 8-10 or so). Paid $450+ for a one night stay and they expected me to tip housekeeping, carry my own coffee tray to the kitchen and tip for the included breakfast. Would not return.

The lodge is lovely at first glance but it needs updated. For the price, we where expecting something a bit more polished. Also, there was virtually no staff available to assist with anything. We checked in late, 8pm MT, so we understood not having someone there that late but it was hard to find someone any other time of the day as well. We had issues with our room and the temperature being way to hot. We had to figure out how to open the window or leave the door open In order to sleep. We mentioned this numerous times during our stay and it wasn’t addressed until the 3rd day of our stay and it still wasn’t fixed. The lamps in our room wouldn’t stay on or turn on, both needed repair, but we didn’t mention this as they were not responsive about the heat issue. Also the USB outlets don’t work. Great location and the breakfast staff where lovely.

The room was very clean and overall the condition was comfortable. The scenery was amazing off the patio except there is a lot of vehicle traffic below the hotel on the highway so the scenery gets lost in the traffic noise. Updates to the bathroom were needed and supplying more up to date items (microwave/fridge) in the room would be beneficial. The restaurant was excellent. It’s worth trying this out, the location to RMNP was great just be prepared to spend some $.

The lodge itself was very dated and could use some updating. The location is great and the balcony view was great. The size of the bathroom was also great. Water pressure was hit or miss but they had to turn the water off one day so it seemed like they were having an issue. I had a trickle of a shower a couple times. The hot tub was a nice feature but they need better lighting. We also had to wait to let it cool down; hot tubs should never be kept at 106 that’s not safe!!! The included breakfast was pretty decent, Depended on the day kind of. My main complaint is the fireplace. I was really looking forward to using this but it had a very strong gas smell that certainly cannot be okay. We had to turn it off promptly. And since there is never anyone staffed at the hotel (at least when we were available to look for someone) you’re kind of out of luck if you have an issue. There’s never anyone around ??? I guess maybe during check in time. The only time we saw employees was when we were first Checking in and at breakfast, and those ladies seemed to just be making breakfast. A contact number for non emergency issues would be nice. I didn’t find a lot of great options in Estes park for a short stay, so I feel like this was a little overpriced for how dated it is. It was very clean which is a plus and the balcony view was great !

The property had rustic charm, but the real problem was the property manager. On the first day, a window screen fell on me while she was nearby, and instead of apologizing, she brushed it off with "it's okay, don’t worry about it." There were issues with lights, a non-working toilet, and an air conditioner struggling in warm weather. The bathroom had poor lighting, and when I approached the manager about the toilet, her attitude was rude and unhelpful, essentially telling me to handle it myself. At $300 a night, dealing with a broken toilet and poor service was frustrating. While I understand not everything is in her control, the lack of apologies and the "you’re SOL" attitude, along with other complaints, left us with a beautiful weekend tarnished by poor service.

A beautiful property with/ stunning views, but guest service & maintenance are terrible. The property manager just doesn't care and makes it clear that guest service and satisfaction are not at the top of her priorities. The toilet didn't work in one of the rooms. Was told to use the plunger and otherwise, you'll have to make do since maintenance is off-duty. When asked what to do overnight, she turned her back and walked away. The fireplace didn't turn on. Too bad. Our window would open but not close so had to shut it from the outside. The ironing board had no cover. While the maintenance was an issue, the primary dissatisfaction was with the manager. It would/should have been an amazing stay and we paid for several suites. I can only say we- paid a lot to be treated rudely.

The view was absolutely incredible from our room. They even brought us coffee in the morning and left it at our door so we could sit and drink coffee on the balcony. They also custom made us breakfast in the morning. The experience was incredible.

My wife and I needed a few a day of rest and so we headed to one of our favorite spots the Taharaa Lodge in Estes Park. After a short 1.5 hour drive from the Denver Airport we arrived and were warmly welcomed to the lodge. Emma gave us a quick tour of our room and made sure we knew how the heat, TV, fireplace and arranging for breakfast all worked. The whole lodge and each room is nicely decorated in western/arts&craft style. The room had a big comfortable bed with a fireplace near by. The room had a deck with a great view of the mountains. The room was very clean and comfortable. Each morning we were really spoiled with a coffee tray delivered to our room for us to drink while we were getting ready. We were able to pick our breakfast time and breakfast choice each day. Each morning we enjoyed going to dinning room for a wonderful breakfast. We really love being served a tasty hot breakfast where we can look out to see a beautiful mountain view. Vicki and her staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. They made sure every detail was just right. Vicki was great about giving us excellent recommendation for trails to hike, stores to shop at, or places to eat in and around Estes Park. Taharaa is also the home of the Twin Owls restaurant. We ate there twice an it did not disappoint. It really nice to just walk down the stairs from you room to a great restaurant. We enjoy snowshoeing in the winter in Rocky Mountain National Park and Tarhara made a great base for us to explore from. It is also a quiet, relaxing place to sit and read, play games and drink coffee. All of which we enjoyed doing. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights got the rest and relaxation from our full lives. We can't wait to return.
