Excellent location, on the High Street with the added bonus of private car park! Friendly and helpful staff! The room was spacious, clean, and cosy. We had the room with the balcony which was great! The pub had a good vibe and good selection of drinks with outside space!

Having picked Lymington as a destination, we chose to stay in the town and not in a hotel a mile or more outside. This gave us the benefit of being able to enjoy a walk about town on a number of occasions. To get this pleasure you have to have some pain, in our case our room was right above the main door so at closing time the locals would all stop just outside and have a chat for while before moving off. Got a bit noisy at times. The room facilities were all fine, had an issue with the door lock, but wasn't inconvenienced for too long. We did have dinner and breakfast, and both were a good standard. Personally would have liked a wider range of ales and to have some flexibility over the meal and wine deal, i.e. be able to pay extra to upgrade the choice of wine. Friendly staff, if in doubt as Debbie she'll sort it out.

A lovely cosy hotel with nice pub. They were so kind and helpful and the room was spacious, cosy and very clean. I advise you ring them before you arrive to find out about parking - rather than try to work it out for yourself. There is parking – but it’s not entirely obvious.

5 out of 5. Great location with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere and attitude. We had a well appointed room over looking the high street. Breakfast was good and portions in our opinion perfect for the first meal of the day. Great car park at the back which meant not too far to carry luggage in and of course out.

My attic room was very pretty, had everything needed inc a coffee machine, and the bathroom seemed newly refurbished - the shower was excellent. Good white towels, pillows, duvets etc, all fresh and fluffy. Lots of stairs to get there but I was offered help by a delightful small lady at reception. (You wouldn't want bad knees). Supper was good, not special but nicely served by a tall gentleman, who was very pleasant and efficient, despite being short staffed and the restaurant and bar were busy.. My only minus point - I emailed the week before asking re parking. No reply. I rang a couple of days before staying and was told, by a rather short-tempered gentleman that he was on a video call and I should look on the internet. The internet was not helpful. I ended up paying for an hour in the public car park while I walked to the hotel for help. The same delightful small lady took a lot of trouble to advise me, wrote down the code and so on - which I so much appreciated as the hotel car park is not easy to find and the code is essential. This really should be offered to those booking rooms if parking needed.

Very comfortable bed, lovely old charm and great location for Lymington. The parking was a real bonus. Staff were very friendly. I would not hesitate to come and stay here. The place is very old and has a lot of character, and the food looked good although we didn't try any.

Room clean. Shame not told had to climb 4 flights of stairs ( great view from room) service very poor due to lack of staff. Food very poor in the evening and for breakfast shame chef couldn't cater for more than 7 in restaurant at a time. Waited 45 minutes for poor breakfast.not likely to return.

More than happy with the whole service……from booking an appropriate room for our requirements, checking in and relevant information being given, the room (decor and cleanliness), evening meal and breakfast were great……….……staff were very helpful and extremely pleasant (Jamie (booking in) and Katie G. Loved the doggy station and water dispenser on the bar. WOULD USE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND

The room was fine, adequate, clean. There was only a shower not a bath, which was a tiny disappointment. There was a bit of high jinx’s noise from outside at bedtime but that is to be expected from a central location on a Saturday night. Parking was an issue. The instructions given were overly simplified and just not clear enough. Really could do with a line drawing or What3Words location PLUS some signage. We ate in for dinner in a large group. The service was poor as provided by one individual at least, an order for a vegetarian curry came as a chicken curry, pudding came with ice cream despite asking for custard. A couple of the main dishes were underwhelming, including fish and chips which was dry - possibly fresh frozen? InItially being called ‘my lovely’ was charming but after the second or third time it became irritatingly patronising. Good location
