Footprints Beach Resort

Footprints Beach Resort

📍 Romblon, San Andres
★★ 9.6 (19 reviews)

"A Hidden Gem Where You Feel Like Family! If you are looking for a place that feels less like a hotel and more like a home away from home, Footprints Resort is the absolute perfect choice. The heart and soul of this place is the wonderful family who owns and lives on the property. Owen, Angie, and their two kids are incredibly welcoming, and their presence makes a world of difference—you don’t just feel like a guest; you truly feel like a part of their home. Why We Loved Our Stay: Exceptional Staff: The team here is incredible. They are hardworking, professional, and genuinely sweet. Their service-minded attitude ensures that every guest is taken care of with a big smile. Peace and Quiet: The resort is a haven of tranquility. It is remarkably quiet and peaceful, making it the ideal spot to truly disconnect and recharge. Wonderful Dining: The food in the restaurant is consistently excellent! Every meal is "rigtig fin"—prepared with care and full of flavor. The "Tablas" Magic It is true that getting to Tablas can be a bit of a journey, but that is actually a secret blessing. Because it takes a little extra effort to reach this paradise, it naturally filters the crowd. You’ll find that the types of tourists who make it here are a specific kind of people—adventurous, respectful, and like-minded travelers who value authenticity over mass tourism. Final Verdict Footprints Resort is a rare find. Between the kindness of Owen, Angie, and the kids, the top-tier service from the staff, and the serene atmosphere, it was an unforgettable experience. We cannot recommend this place enough!"

Ocean’s Edge Resort

Ocean’s Edge Resort

📍 Inihawan Brgy. Lanas, Romblon
★★★★ 9.0 (18 reviews)

"The sleep quality here is guaranteed to be comfortable—it's quiet, relaxing & you are literally immersed in nature, with oceanfront views and bird sounds as well. As for the food and drinks, they’re minimal, but I didn’t mind since I'm not a foodie and I have an allergy to alcohol. My focus was on enjoying the scenery, exploring the island, land tour, snorkeling & not staying in the hotel all day or indulging myself in amenities. It’s a bit of a logistical challenge being on an island, & it’s understandable. I wasn’t expecting everything to be the same as a typical or luxurious hotel, per se. I even brought my own dental kit and hairdryer. Minor issues includes no hand soap & dental kit, but the staff were quick to provide after I requested. Another small issue was the door lock, was tricky to open. I arrived earlier than the usual check-in time so I understand that the room wasn’t ready. Is it worth it? You get what you pay for, so yes, it’s worth it! You get the view, a spacious-clean bathroom, and a large room. As an accounting graduate, I tend to consider value before paying for anything, and I felt this stay was well worth it. An entire cabana was mine. It’s cheap compared to the original price. The staff, especially Jeffrey and Ciara, were incredibly kind and easy to talk to. They even surprised me with a delicious birthday cake courtesy of Chef Ronnie which was so nice. And Chef Melvin for the best garlic chicken I’ve ever tasted—seriously! It feels like home. Can’t wait to come back in March ! 🤞 The property is huge and literally at the edge of the ocean. it requires regular maintenance—something the resort/hotel lacks. I suggest a couple of sunbeds at the beach as well. The location is isolated and quite far from Poblacion, but it has beautiful beaches nearby if you wish to explore, along with restaurants. There are several villas and cabanas to choose from. You can swim or go snorkeling by the beach. So, if you're not picky or high-maintenance and are simply looking for a relaxing night's sleep after a tiring land tour or water activity, I highly recommend this place for you."

"Location is perfect. So quiet, no crowds. The sun sets just right in front of the hotel. The food is amazing. The view from the room stunning. It’s just above Boracay. I really had fun here. I actually got sick but the owner and all staff helped me. I’ll definitely be back here! Highly recommend!!"

"Most of their room has the problem of getting wet if you open the balcony. I asked multiple times to provide alternate room but they did not bother. The rooms are small and restaurants are very costly over that area. Not much amenities too. Calm and not crowded."

Movenpick Resort & Spa Boracay

Movenpick Resort & Spa Boracay

📍 Punta Bunga Rd, Boracay Island
★★★★★ 8.7 (331 reviews)

"The beach is great, and the service is top-notch – they really pamper you. Breakfast, however, wasn't very tasty. There were a lot of baked goods, the fruit wasn't very good, and the beef wasn't flavorful. Chicken and pork were just okay. While there was a large selection, I found it to be pretty mediocre overall. Even the cappuccino machine didn't make a great coffee. It's not a 'wow' or premium breakfast; I'd rate it 3 out of 5. It's acceptable though, and the main thing is the beach, which is not crowded, only hotel guests. The grounds are well-maintained, nice but not 'wow' – 3 out of 5."

"What a great place!! Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and could not have been happier with everything. 10/10 for the accommodation, restaurant, bar, beach and last but not least the staff! Owen and Angie were so nice and helpful with everything, the Air condition bungalow was perfect for us. Clean and spacious and great water power in the shower 😁 Food at the restaurant was so nice, the Chicken Adobo and Chicken Sisig were one of the best Philippine dishes we had during our one month stay in Philippines. Highly recommend for any traveller that wants to kick back, enjoy the beach relax and have the option to go explore beautiful Tablas island. Looking forward to coming back again to this great place and then for longer stay! Best, Eythor and Kolfinna"

"I stayed here from Dec 26th 2021 to January 6th 2022. I was lucky (or not) that i am the only guest they actually catered during my stay. There were a couple of families who visited the place but they only were there for day use of the pool. The whole place is huge and there's so much to explore. The rooms (villas & cabanas) are gorgeous and cozy. The staff (especially Jisrelle in the reception) are nice and their housekeeping team are all very accommodating to requests. If there's a disadvantage that i was their only guest was that they have limited menu, and PAG-ASA declared a no-sail gale warning from Dec 30 to Jan 5 so the island didn't have much fresh supplies for the NY. Aside from that, there was a recent typhoon which affected their wifi/internet in the resort & the island so it's hard to have a stable connection & wasn't possible to work from there."

Savoy Hotel Boracay near Newcoast Beach ★★★★
"Very generous hotel, a lot of complementaries for you to fully enjoy Boracay in a peaceful and exclusive Environment. Feels like you own everything. Food is superb, excellent choice I made for coming back here in Boracay! I now hate stations 1-3, better for parties only, the rest not so much. Unlike Newcoast. Thank you so much Savoy for a lot of freebies! 👌🏻💯"

"The place itself is paradise. The food is good, price is affordable and reasonable. The hosts, Jan and Liezel are very accommodating, the resort staff are.friendly and very attentive to our needs. They became our family when we left the place. Shout out to Ate Rhea the best chef who taught me how to make her super yummy herself cake, to Bebe the charming attendantand ate jurie, for preparing the Jimmy buko halo halo and for satisfying the cravings for fresh sea orchid. The best thing is the unli alkaline water that they provide to their guest. The villa where we stayed is clean and well maintained, the beds are comfortable!. I will definitely comeback with my friends. I highly recommend Pili Beach Resort for a relaxing "

"Beautiful location, gorgeous private beach, helpful and friendly staff. Good selection of food at breakfast and I loved the shrimp balls and bbq octopus satay in the evenings. Small issues with the room,my toilet would leak a bit and the decorative blue pillow with the shells on it smelled damp/moldy. Otherwise good entertainment, happy hour deals. Great stay."
