The Westin Excelsior, Florence

Florence Historic Center Florence|0.47km from Museum of Masonic symbols
The hotel is located on the banks of the Arno River. The main entrance of the hotel is directly opposite the French consulate. There is a small square in front of the hotel. You can temporarily park your car temporarily and open small markets on weekends. Five minutes walk along the river bank is Uffizi Gallery, Old Bridge! The window opened in the room is directly opposite the Baihua Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, and the church can be opened to the full view of the church. The left hand old bridge and the right hand Holy Trinity Bridge, the view is excellent! The bedding is comfortable, the room area is relatively large in Italy, classical and luxurious. The only dissatisfaction was that the booking fee was clearly the money for the river view room, but the front desk said that the reservation was only for a superior room. But polite and old-fashioned at the same time, because I emphasized that if it was n’t for the river view room, there would be no meaning to live here. The front desk said that I was sorry the room was full, and I could upgrade to the river view room on the balcony of the administrative floor if I added 200 euros. After expressing dissatisfaction, I asked to wait at the front desk for a while, but also forced them to check the room again, and finally got this river-view room without replenishment! I don't know if this is the case, it is Ctrip or the hotel routine.

I can't express into words how amazing this place was. I'd give it a ten if I could. It's situated on the north side of Florence in a quiet area beside a beautiful church. The rooms were spacious, beautiful and clean. We had a room with the most beautiful view I've ever had in any hotel. Please don't miss out on staying here. Mind you it's a guesthouse,so no roomservice and breakfast is served in the nearby café which was lovely. I could have stayed here for months.

The house is large and stylish, the neighbors are kind, there are many small shops and restaurants nearby It's on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator. You need to carry your suitcase upstairs. Suitable for people with light luggage

It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the train station. It's very fast if you don't have much luggage. It's about 15 minutes away from the Old Bridge. After the Old Bridge is the Uffizi Museum. The old city is not big and you can walk there. The hotel is quiet and the staff is very kind. However, if you have a lot of luggage, it is inconvenient to drag your luggage on the stone roads in the old city from the train station. It is recommended to take a taxi. The croissants for breakfast are delicious. The only disadvantage of the hotel is that the bathroom space is a bit small, and the shower head is easy to splash when taking a shower. The heating is very warm. I stayed in January, but the room temperature is very comfortable.

Location is optimum and it's walking distance to all the monuments and hang out locations. I stayed at the hostel during July and it was extremely hot, the air-conditioning was good but it couldn't keep up with the heat of a Florentine summer. The building is a old commune and inside is like a rabbit hole, can get a little confusing and compared to other hotels I've stayed it's very out dated. Perhaps works well for school groups. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful with anything I needed at the hostel and also information about Florence.

The scenery is good, the riverside, quiet in the middle of noisy. The location is good, there are many restaurants around, especially the Italian restaurant and an ice cream shop on the corner. Don't be afraid of the number of people in the queue. Good service, arrange for someone to wait, and be responsible. However, if you are not interested in the hotel, please consider.

From the moment Leonardo open the gate to let us in to the Garden to park our car to the moment we left this a wonderful experience. The Hotel is situated in the owners private garden and although you not allowed into the actual garden’s they provide a great location for this hotel. The location is near enough to Florence for easy access but far enough away to provide a little oasis of calm. The staff were very friendly and helpful , we stay in a room with a private balcony which gave us great views over the garden. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Florence.
