Gera hat man nicht wirklich als Reiseziel auf dem Schirm, aber man ist als Besucher sehr positiv über die Schönheit der alten, Reussischen Residenzstadt überrascht. Direkt an der Orangerie am sogenannten Küchengarten liegt das Mercure nur etwa 10 Minuten fußläufig zur Innenstadt mit Straßenbahnhaltestellecdirekt vor dem Haus. Das Mercure hat wunderbar ruhige Zimmer und hat ein ansprechendes, neuwertiges Mobiliar und ebensolche Badezimmer - leider mit Wanne, aber das hängt von der persönlichen Präferenz ab. Die schönen, aktuellen Holzfenster machen die Zimmer sehr wohnlich und der Schreibtisch ist auch groß genug für den Geschäftsreisenden. Dass die Amenities auf 3 Spender beschränkt sind ist ok für ein Haus der 3* Kategorie. Eine kleine Bar macht abends auf und macht Freude dank netter Bedienung, wie auch die Damen und Herren am Empfang und beim Frühstückbuffet auf Zack sind. Für mich zusammengefasst eine positive Überraschung und perfekt für Geschäftstermine zwischen Leipzig und Vogtland.

Quite a nice hotel, looking at the reviews and the location, I spent a night on the road from Prague to Frankfurt, the town is quite big, there are several big shopping malls, mainly sold by local German brands, and the quality is very good. But the surroundings of the hotel are very quiet, the hotel is clean and tidy, the service is good, the meal is very interesting, the restaurant waiter has not met the Chinese, and the conversation is very happy. I won't pass by again in the future, and I might not be able to live anymore, but it is very conceptual and highly recommended.
