Hampton Inn by Hilton Glendale Milwaukee

The lighted sign for the hotel is only half working so it was confusing on the dark and foggy night to find. I was promised a room with a bathtub and sitting area and was given one with a shower and no sitting area. I was able to switch rooms. The check-in clerk pointed out the directions to the workout room and the pool. The next morning I walked by the pool and there was a sign that said it was closed. I went to the front desk and asked when it would be open and was told they did not know when it would be open. Breakfast was pretty basic. I chose the hotel because of its location and the pool. I decided to switch to another hotel and I checked out at 10:00 AM. I was charged more than ******* promised for the rooms and I was charged two times. I had to call to get a credit but I was still overcharged. I called the hotel and they said I owed $190 per night instead of the original rate of $130 per night. I complained that I checked out because the pool was closed and the clerk said it was not closed. When I challenged the clerk that the pool was not open she hung up on me. I will never stay at this or any other Hampton Inn Hotel.

Didn’t like fact that we did not have housekeeping service. Had to empty our wastebaskets several times and ask for more toilet paper. Also bought our own Kleenex.

Staff had too many responsibilities. Had to take care of breakfast buffet and front desk at the same time.

No room service even after asking for it the 2nd morning. When I got back that night nothing had been done. Very disappointing.

Everything was very good at the hotel, the staff was very friendly and attentive.

The hotel was new, clean, quiet, close to shopping and freeway. Fairly good breakfast. Pleasant staff.

THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK WERE ESPECIALLY HELPFUL. TIFFANY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE OUR STAY PLEASANT THE BREAKFAST WAS MUCH BETTER THAN WHEN WE STAYED IN JUNE WE NOTICED MUCH IMPROVEMENT OVER ALL

The front desk staff were friendly and quick to help out. Our room, however, should not be used until the AC unit is fixed. There was a stand alone AC unit with a tube that was duct tapped through a piece of cardboard to the outside. The duct tape was not sticking so outside air was pouring in. There were no other rooms available so that was very unfortunate.
