Horrible location in the middle of nowhere. Everything else is super overpriced and also the room just didn’t meet expectation

After an emergency we needed quickly Hotel and booked with the Bastion. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional helping us in any way possible, even going beyond "regular' duties. The food was very nice and the prices reasonable. Before the hotel is a busstop that takes you to groningen Centre in around 10 Minutes which is perfect. Highly recommended!

I liked the wurlitzer music box on the entrance. Room temperature was a bit cold for me this could be because of long curtains blocking the radiator. The night shift guy has some anger control problem. I waited 5 minutes outside of the hotel on the first night and 15 minutes, on the last,as the gates were closed after midnight.

Though the hotel is modern and clean, it is located far off from the city so not recommended other than business trips or if you are visiting the area. This visit was to visit the MotoGP so prices were even higher. Not a place I can recommend for tourists.

Prima, handige accommodatie

A great value for money hotel. Lots of free parking is a major plus, as was the good air conditioning, which was essential during the August heatwave. Good wifi. Breakfast choice limited. Bathroom cramped and only a single bed. Restaurant was serving a limited selection of bar meals. The hotel is located on an industrial estate about 3.5km from centre of town. One bus an hour into town, or an easy cycle. Lots of litter in the car park, which is unusual for the Netherlands (I would guess it was left by the significant number of English guests). The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful.

room was very cold, Heather just low warm, AC didn't work, Water in the shower just half warm, water outlet from the shower was blocked so that the water run into the sleeping room, room not very clean (found left garbage from previous guest) beside that, stay and breakfast - ok

Property was very convenient to where I was working. Enjoyed the dinner and breakfast buffet. Also like the eco-friendly hallways and hotel rooms.

On entering the ground floor corridor, there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke. Our rooms were clean but the opposite of spacious, especially in the cramped toilet. It was like showering in a telephone kiosk. The dinner service on the Saturday evening we were there was appalling, a very limited menu and very, very slow service. Hotel residents were allowed to smoke on the steps outside the hotel entrance which was littered with cigarette butts, along with an overflowing litter bin. A dreadfully unsatisfactory experience.

Dust in room, áreas like fridge, table and desk remain with Dust.

This falls into the category of Fletcher hotel with offer, cheapest room, bad beds and not really clean. in short, it was a place to sleep.

Floor of restaurant/breakfast room stuck. Everything was missing at breakfast. Laundry up! At dinner my partner got his food and about fifteen minutes later I did. Something had gone wrong in the kitchen. All this was reported upon check-out. To compensate, the bottle of wine with dinner was not charged.
