I’ve seen battle like this before at an airport hotel in rural Xi’an. I was defeated then like I was last night. My first encounter with the enemy was in the bathroom terrain. A land cruiser A2000 cockroach made his presence known and I had to barricade my living space with the bathroom door and a towel wedged underneath. The 2nd enemy came in the form of a 8 legged wall crawler. I’ve been resisting their invasion since I was a young boy, easy enough to annihilate. The last and most worthy opponent of the night got me while I slept. At first, I thought the blanket and pillow were making my head violently itch, but then I heard her. The hotel staff was friendly. They were not able to speak English, however, we were able to communicate through WeChat. The location was really close the airport and they had a bus that took us from and to there.
