Hakuba Märchen House

The breakfast at this hotel should be booked in advance, and when you check in, you will be asked if you want to book breakfast for tomorrow. Breakfast is generally OK. The hotel has a car park. About 6 minutes is the ski resort.

We stayed at Heidi Hof for 3 nights when we went to Hakuba for family skiing. It was the perfect timing, as on the day of our arrival, it was their biggest snowfall which made perfect for the next day’s skiing. The facade of the cottage is picture perfect with the view of the mountains. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the family who runs the accomodation. We have 4 separate beds which didn’t bother us at all. The room is very neat and tidy and have all the amenities that we need. Love the aloe masks! It’s a personalised touch. Not usual amenity when you go to hotels. Best part of our room is the view of the mountains. Breakfast is amazing! Freshly baked breads everyday. We have tried having a family dinner on our second night and we totally enjoyed it! Coming back to Heidi Hoff after a long day of skiing is like coming back home. Love the warm cottage and the scent of the firewood. We also enjoyed the onsen. Perfect for your sore muscles after a long day of skiing. Overall, it’s truly a memorable stay at Heidi Hoff. I think the family who runs this business is doing it for love. They are just so passionate in delivering seamless service to their guests. Personalised service and they always go above and beyond. Highly recommended.

In the summer of 2023, my husband and I were around 50 and stayed for one night on a trip for my wife's birthday. We were both very satisfied. I believe that they have made good use of the large site, and that their investments in water, plants, etc. have created a wonderful landscape, a sense of space, and a sense of satisfaction. This might be my favorite point about this inn. The private bath was quite full when we checked in at 4:30 pm, so if you want to enjoy that, we recommend checking in early. The same goes for dinner. If it's a late inn Dinner started at 8pm, but we had a private bath (not a hot spring). Afterwards, enjoy the time until dinner time while relaxing in the lounge where light meals such as wine, cheese, and olives are served. I think these efforts to keep people waiting are very good. And dinner was Japanese-style French⁉️It was delicious. Return to your room and take a whirlpool bath on the terrace while looking at the night forest and stars. bliss. The next day, as soon as you wake up, take a bath in the hot spring bath. The best hot spring in the open air. The breakfast was also delicious. After eating, we took a walk around the grounds. Creating a wonderful space may be difficult, but I thought it was wonderful. I want to use it again. Thank you for your wonderful time.
