Hotel mostly clean. Glass doors can be dangerous, if you are not careful, like me, because there is no *****s accross the glass, I thought it was open, and walked right into the glass, apparently this has happened with a few guests. The food is varied in the hotel, excellent choices of meals, but they are mostly cold, by the time you sit down to eat them. Such a shame. We had several problems with the ladies toilets in reception. Once the cleaning staff go home through the day, there is no one to maintain the toilets, the seats were broken several times, no paper towels or toilet roll at times. You are asked to put your paper in the bin, not down the toilet, but they provide tiny pedal bins, so in the evening, there is peoples used paper piling up on the top of the small bins. (It's disgusting, and the smell, but most of all very unhygenic). The waiting staff are fantastic, they can't do enough for you, but my biggest gripe on my holiday, is no way is there enough staff to cater to the amount of holiday makers. There are 2 on in the morning, they are expected to set up for breakfast, clear tables, cope with complaints from customers when they can't get the coffee machine working, or the fresh orange machines not working, it's too much. More staff come on through the day, but they are expected to wait, plus clean, plus run the pool bar, plus take the trolley with fruit and drinks up to rooms, as well as other jobs in between. I feel the problem of being understaffed, is going to cause big problems in the middle of the season. Our room was clean, big enough, and we were lucky enough to have a big balcony. Be prepared if you get a wet day, there is nothing to do. You can't sit out in the pool dining area, there is no cover, the rain was so heavy, everything had to be shut down, you can't sit on your balcony, there is no cover, so I was very angry, that on a day like this, management would not open the bar in the lobby, until the stated time of opening, that one puzzled me.
