Hotel Zaza Houston Museum District

Houston|1.66km from The Menil Collection
It had been many years since I had experienced a stay at the Hotel Zaza, so many, in fact that the last time was when it was known as The Warwick. I had stayed there with my husband just prior to the closing and was fascinated by the hotel’s history, involving such luminaries as writer Edna Ferber, which we learned from the staff and from the hotel literature. I was so taken that I snapped a photo series and used in a graphic design class I was taking at the time. After the reopening we would visit to dine in the restaurant and always came away satisfied and impressed by the attentive service. We got a kick out of the Zaza limos with their longhorns affixed to the front grille parked just outside, but did not have an occasion to stay there. Recently I had to stay in Houston overnight and decided a return visit was long overdue, and reserved a Fantastico Suite from their list of regular guest rooms. As it turned out, the suite was not available when I arrived due to a malfunction, so I was upgraded to an even larger Divino Suite with a spacious living room and dining area with a table large enough to accommodate 6-8 diners. Each of the Zaza’s spacious suites has a unique décor, and mine was an Asian-inspired blend with European touches such as a dramatic crystal chandelier hanging above the dining area table. The separate bedroom was amply sized with large windows offering excellent views from the second-highest floor. The suite also has floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and dining room, all with blackout curtains. Between the living area and the bedroom was the well-appointed bathroom, with a shower and a tub. I ordered room service from the restaurant which arrived quickly and contained ample portions that were well-prepared. The hotel staff was courteous and professional, which, all told, made for an extremely comfortable and pleasant stay, and I look forward to a return visit to this old/new favorite.

Hotel location is very good, in the subway DRYDEN station, 8 minutes from the DRYDEN Metropolitan Museum area three stations, there is a ticket vending machine on the subway platform for 1.25 dollars within three hours. The subway is parallel to the motorway on the road in front of the hotel. It is convenient to use the underground passage. There is a bathtub in the big bed room. The softness and hardness of the bed are suitable. It is suitable for a family of three. I feel comfortable living in the museum area ZAZA!

Extended Stay America Suites - Houston - Med Ctr - Greenway Plaza

It was a subtle trip that made me unable to remember... I thought about taking photos and writing evaluations all the time. I waited until 10 o'clock that night to find a way to let us live. Because I fixed the wrong date at the beginning, I later made another one day earlier. As a result, the front desk attendant told me that I could not find the second list of the day. The attitude is actually a bit bad. I have always said that I can't find my order in the backstage of the system, saying that I should not use Chinese software. That is the United States, to solve the problem in the United States. It’s OK to stay in the house, but the mood is not very good. Ctrip responded very quickly on this matter, and the overseas departments also communicated with me very quickly. Instead, Ctrip added points!

The price is cheap, but the hotel is a bit old, the hardware needs to be improved, and the breakfast is a bit expensive.

Ok, the toothpaste toothbrush at the front desk can take a takeaway order. It’s more cost-effective to call Chinese food out there at the hotel. The food at the downstairs cafe is delicious, but it’s a long time, the hotel is surrounded by no commercial area.
