I felt I had to write this as I have just seen the previous two reviews and I stayed in January 2024 and my experience was very different. Firstly we booked an apar**ent that sleep 6 for 3 people, we always do this in France from previous experience. This meant we had lots of space, two twin beds as you come in, 2 sofa beds in living area where we made up one and used the other as a sofa. Plenty storage for us all. On arrival there was a kit provided with some dish washer tablets, some clothes, a little washing up liquid etc. tea towels also provided. Yes there was only one toilet roll but this is standard in any self catering accommodation in France, as is no cleaning/bed making during the week. On each floor there was rubbish disposal including recycling, I found this very handy as in other places we have had to take down to a central area on complex. Our apar**ent had modern (ikea type) furniture, which was basic but adequate. The kitchen lots of utensils, good pans for cooking etc. The pool was lovely, the sauna worked for the first half of the week only which was disappointing. The restaurant was nice and reasonable prices, they also do takeaway too with reduced pricing. It is very handy for the ski area, 5 mins walk on a morning and you can ski through the park to right opposite the reception (weather permitting) when you finish for the day. I would have no issues in staying again. It is a 15/20 minute walk into the main but for a night time if you plan to go out every night.

Pros: It wasn’t horrendous, the radiator was warm and the shower had good water pressure Cons: Beds were really small, the whole apar**ent was outdated ( really old furniture, stairs were marked and chipped), whole apar**ent smelt bad, had to make our own beds, the safe didn’t work, no cleaning products and only one roll of toilet paper was provided, kitchen/living room was too small to fit 6 people and felt claustrophobic, the locker was too small to fit everyone’s skiis in so we had to carry two sets up to the room everyday and all of our poles, the light in the locker room was on a short timer so kept leaving us in darkness and after a few days stopped working completely so we had to use flashlights, had to carry skiis up a spiral staircase and then a 5 minute walk before we were at the ski area, the sauna wasn’t working for the majority of our stay, no fresh towels/ sheets for the entire stay, no maid/cleaning services, the room was much more dated than the pictures showed, not much storage space in the kitchen for food, not much storage in the bedroom for clothes - we ended up living out of our suitcases, not enough space to dry all ski gear so we sometimes wore wet clothes the next day, radiator was so hot it melted the plastic on some of our ski gloves

booked to stay at the Pierre et Vacances Les Bergers for 7 night with a group of friends for our ski holiday. the hotel wasn’t as show in the photos, our room had 4 small single beds in 1 room and 2 downstairs. the kitchen was tiny and they only offered us the 1 locked for 5 people skis, boots and polls.(we had to carry them up to our room everyday as they didn’t fit in our locker which was included.) the locker room light didn’t work so had to use a phone light to put on our ski boots everyday. the hotel had an awfully bad smell to the place too. showed in the photos online we expected to have 2 bedrooms containing a double bed and 2 singles in a separate room. we book this hotel as we wanted a sauna and this was broken 6 out of 7 days of our stay. i wouldn’t recommend this hotel as it’s not at all like the photo show on there website. save your money and stay somewhere else.

Hotel is clean; well equipped and very near the lifts. The pool is a bonus tho it needs updating ; the saunas are great . The restaurant serves a range of good food - staff are in general helpful. Read some awful reviews of the other hotel with similar name on Trip Advisor. This one has lots of hot water and the rooms are spotless.

Sadly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in yet the most expensive. Where to start it’s ski out but walk up and hill back in. Ski room is so busy in the morning there is nowhere to sit and put on your boots. Meals are a Buffett but it’s terrible, basic horrible food, breakfast we were told no more eggs at 8am, sandwiches for dinner. It’s just not worth the money at all.

I can’t stress enough how bad this hotel is. First of all they will try and fine you for anything. We were talking in our room at around 11 o’clock and was greeted to security coming in to the room pushing us and strangling my friend, to then be told we were going to get a €150 fine (which was not paid for obvious reasons). NEVER AGAIN.

Everything you could want from a budget skiing trip. A bed in a warm room with a nice small kitchen and good little private bathroom. We were also able to get access to our room late in the evening and check in the next morning. There were a few extra charges for sheets and towels and a deposit was required as cheaper accommodation can sometimes attract people who may not take proper care of the room. The deposit was returned in full when we left.

In short: this place sucks. Let's start with a positive notice (possibly the only positive thing about this place): this hotel is very close to the skilift. First of all, the rooms are terrible. Absolutely too small for four persons. The room layout does not make any sense. Only two power outlets in the room. The 'kitchen' is so small, the pan does not even fit on the fire. Heating does not work. I also found it strange there was absolutely nothing to clean our dishes with; after asking, we were told to buy the stuff ourselves, which is kind off strange in a hotel, in my opinion. Secondly I would like to talk about the staff working in the hotel. In general; completely outrageous. This hotel has a policy of making money by handing out fines to their guests. There is a security guard. This guy stands in front of the hotel with his flashlight, searching for guests that are having a nice time. Once he found his prey, he goes into the hotel to do what he enjoys: giving fines for people just talking at their room. Also a strange thing; I have heard multiple times that the security guard entered the room without asking whether he could come in to see what was going on in the room. This seems to me to be an invasion of privacy. Also this hotel wants their guests to clean the 'common room' (I have no idea what this place is; I have not seen this in the hotel). We have had no notice that we were supposed to do this, and so we did not. Bam; another fine of 100 euros. Also, losing a key, which can happen, will cost you 100 euro. Forgetting to throw away your garbage: 100 euro. Guards saying the room smells like smoke, without there even being smoked in the room; another fine of 100 euros. Great way to earn some money, hotel owner. One evening, some guys, 4 in total, were playing a card game at their room, while listening to some music on their phone. The hotel manager went to complain there was to much noise, and if the noise would not stop they would call the police. And so they did. Police came in, and they could not find any sign of a noice disturbance. Boom; another fine, even though the police told them there was no reason to. Concluding; please listen to me if I ask you to not go to this crazy place. At first sight it seems interesting, because of the low price and the great location, but after a one week stay, I will promise you will regret your decision to book a room in this place.
