"The Travelodge Nanaimo is centrally located in a quiet area about a 5 minute walk to the downtown business district & a minutes stroll from Nanaimo's Harbourfront Walkway & the beautiful waterfront Maffeo Sutton Park. This Travelodge is an older property & the standard room furnishings were a bit dated but the room itself was very clean, well maintained and included a small patio area, mini-fridge, microwave, complimentary coffee/tea and a very comfortable bed. The value priced rate also included continental breakfast. Great value for the price paid."

"I would describe myself as a “non-guest” as I reserved and booked here, thinking it was a dog-accepting hotel. But at checkin, there was a sign “no dogs in rooms” - so I was in a quandary. When I iexclaimed at my confusion and error, the receptionist was totally cool and maximum helpful - he called a sister hotel, transferred my reservation and payment to them, pre-checked me in, and  never broke a swear, just “happy to help ma’am. “ Great service! Excellent staff!  Thanks so much!"

"It was an amazing exercise staying at Turtle, it’s in the middle of downtown, super close to ocean, restaurants and night life is good. I’m definitely staying there again! It was clean n neat, no one disturbed, guests were super friendly. "

"This hotel is a bit biased on Victoria Island. If it is not self-driving, it is very inconvenient. The hotel is relatively new. The facilities are relatively complete. There are hot springs. Facing a small lake, it was quite peaceful. There is a kitchen, but we don’t have time to cook by ourselves. The breakfast at the hotel is good, you can make your own waffles. Did not see the Chinese. Because there was only a foreign couple who went to the hot springs late. There is free parking."

"Many small problems, the curtains fell off as soon as they were pulled, the bathroom exhaust fan could not be turned on or off (in order to say that the central control actually did not seem to be) The sound was oversized, and then I didn’t know how to turn on the hot water for a long time. The new front desk was a bit greasy."

This was my first time ever staying here and I was very impressed. I will definitely be coming back to the Bayside Resort in the future. The staff from the moment I walked in the door were amazing. They were super polite and very helpful and very informative for all my questions and needs. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. I came there for a relaxing weekend and got just that. The restaurant and lounge staff were so nice and on the ball. It was very busy there but they never skipped a beat and always made me feel like I was the only one in the room. I was super impressed with this. It was disappointing that there was no hot tub as it was dealing with repairs at the time, hey these things happen, but the pool was great and the workout room/gym was very impressive as well. Location of this resort is amazing, honestly can’t get much better. Spectacular views on beachfront to one the most popular beaches in this region. What a beautiful spot!! I feel like I can go on and on, all and all I had a great experience at the Bayside Resort and I will definitely be back soon!!

Just be advised, if you are planning to walk Cathedral Trail from here, it takes 40 min drive as the distance itself isn't that far but there's no straight route and you will have to drive around the mountain. Stay itself was really nice with clear wide view.

I really enjoyed my time at The Tide’s Inn Parksville. Quiet, very comfortable mattress and pillows. The staff were beyond reproach! Excellent service. Perfect for my pet. We enjoyed the fire pits and close proximity to the beach and services. Well done!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunrise ridge, our 1 bedroom junior suite was very nice, quiet and comfortable. Really nice outdoor pool and beautiful grounds.  TV box could use an update but otherwise all good.

The room is badly in need of renovations because the very old carpeted floor is uneven and bumpy. There is a smell in the room where I had to open the window to air. The bathtub hot water is just barely warm. A report to the receptionist on my 3rd evening.. who suggested I change my room. When I checked on the first day, the reception offered a room upgrade which I rejected after I went to the room because it was very dark and gave an uneasy feeling. This is probably the worst hotel on this trip in Canada where I have been for last one month.

We had a great time. The staff is friendly and helpful, offering good informatiin for island activities. (highway closure, local acyivities and such) The pool is a little cold but there is a nice hot tub jacuzzi option. The pools hours of availability are terrific, and allowed for plenty of time for fun The breakfast available with the stay offers a good basic variety of hard boiled eggs, cereals, toast and bagels juice and coffee or tea. Just one suggestiin would be to add aniyher ice machine, otherwise we are happy with our stay and found everything clean and enjoyable Again such friendly and helpful staff throughout. Thank you Days Inn Nanaimo
