"Very convenient, and the room was quite clean. Someone came to tidy up every day. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, which was great. The room was also quite spacious for European standards. We requested a quiet room when we booked, and the front desk gave us a room facing the courtyard, which was perfect."

"This hotel is extremely old, and the room facilities are decades out of date. Initially, they gave me a room without a shower. When I asked the staff, they told me I'd have to use the public bathroom down the hall for a shower?? Unbelievable. So I requested a room change. The bathroom in the new room had a strong musty smell that wouldn't go away even after two days of keeping the window open. The shower stall was incredibly small; I'd hit the glass just trying to raise my arm. The water boiled in the kettle had a strange taste and a lot of impurities and sediment, I'm not sure if it was the water quality or the kettle itself. When I was packing to check out, I found bed bugs crawling on my clothes!!!! That made me anxious for the rest of my trip. Other than that, everything else was just mediocre, but given the price and good location, I guess that's what you get."

Hotel near Termini Central Station,Rome
Opened in 2025, the Hotel Nizza is a great accommodation choice in Rome. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Roma Termini Railway Station located approximately 300m away and Giovan Battista Pastine International Airport roughly 15km away. In addition, Termini Metro Station is just a short walk away. There's plenty to do nearby, with Capuchin Crypt, Piazza Venezia and Trevi Fountain all within a short distance. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling alone.

"The price of this hotel is quite value for money for a very basic stay, especially considering the location near Termini. It includes basic breakfast as well. The room is simple and the facilities are minimal, but acceptable for a short stay in Rome. When we arrived at night, the male receptionist was excellent — very friendly and welcoming. He even reminded us to be careful with our belongings in the area, which we appreciated. However, our experience the next morning was unfortunately the complete opposite. The middle-aged lady at reception was extremely rude and unwelcoming, no hello no god morning, when we walked to the lobby, she rudely asked what is your room number, u need to pay for your dog etc like we are somewhat an intruder. It’s very shocking for a start to the day. The hotel advertises itself as pet-friendly, yet we were repeatedly told what we were not allowed to do — we couldn’t bring our dog near the breakfast area and were given strict instructions in a very unfriendly tone. Our is small dog, we would appreciate that kinder treatment More concerning was the inconsistent and dishonest pet fee. The site clearly states the fee is €11, but she initially tried to charge us €25. Is she trying make some petty cash out of it? After we showed her the site information which clearly says €11, she changed it to €15. When we questioned this, she sarcastically said “Nevermind it’s free” then want us to pay again. We found her attitude very inappropriate and disrespectful. The hotel itself is already very basic, but poor customer service makes the experience much worse. It is disappointing that a hotel would allow such unprofessional and discourteous behaviour at the front desk, as reception is the first impression guests have. While the price may be reasonable, the negative service experience makes it difficult for us to recommend this hotel."

"Being so close to Termini Station was definitely the right choice, especially arriving in Rome in the evening for a self-guided trip. The airport shuttle stops right opposite the hotel entrance. Despite its central location, it wasn't noisy at all; in fact, I found it incredibly convenient for getting around. With a multi-day metro and bus pass, I could explore all of Rome and easily pop back to the hotel for a rest whenever needed. The breakfast was plentiful. While it wasn't a huge spread of meat and heavy dishes, it was healthy and nutritious, offering self-serve fresh squeezed juice, and a good variety of breads and pastries that changed daily. The restaurant staff were also excellent."

"Sanitation: The hotel absolutely stank of sewage, I don't know where it was coming from. I saw reviews mentioning it before booking but thought it might be a rare occurrence. Environment: The motorbikes downstairs were incredibly loud! It's right by the road, and because the hotel is next to a crossroads, it's extremely noisy. You could hear motorbikes roaring even in the middle of the night, making it impossible to sleep. The soundproofing is also terrible; you can clearly hear people talking when they walk past your door. If you're a light sleeper, be very careful about staying here! Sanitation: The cleanliness itself was quite good. Facilities: The environment is also great, aside from the flaws mentioned above, everything else is pretty good, especially the excellent location. It's only a 5-minute walk to the subway station. Service: The front desk staff were all very friendly, warm, and helpful."

"I actually quite liked the classical style, and the room was very spacious. The toiletries were Acqua di Parma, and the location was very close to Termini Station and the Repubblica metro station, just a few minutes' walk – these were all definite plusses. What was particularly bad was the service. When checking in, there were two lines, and one of them had no one in it. The staff didn't seem to be doing anything. After waiting for a long time, I tried asking and it turned out they could process check-ins there, but it felt like they'd just ignore you if you didn't ask. Also, they didn't mention anything about breakfast times or anything else, whereas the other line, dealing with Americans, got all sorts of reminders and information. We actually speak decent English and had done some research, learned a few Italian phrases, and were very polite, so I'm not sure if it was a staff difference or what. The concierge at the front desk was similar; we arrived around 1 PM and were told rooms wouldn't be ready until 2:30 PM, so we needed to store our luggage. The luggage storage area was locked. The concierge didn't offer to take our luggage or open the door proactively. After we asked, he just opened the door expressionlessly, as if it was a huge effort. For our family of three, they added a small bed to the room. There was a connecting door in the wardrobe area to the adjacent room. Although it was locked, we heard the neighbor trying to twist the handle a few times at night, and it was quite loud. I'm pretty sure the other room was just curious, as I even tried twisting it myself to see how secure it was... but hearing that sudden noise in the middle of the night was unsettling. Breakfast was also very mediocre. The bread quality was average, the coffee was average, and the freshness of the fruit was noticeably worse than at the hotels we stayed at in Florence. It might offer decent value for money. You might want to consider what factors are most important to you before choosing this place."

The room was very spacious and comfortable, and the bedding – sheets, duvet covers, and pillows – was equally pleasant. It's conveniently located very close to the Vatican, with a taxi ride costing only 20 Euros. Each room comes with a balcony, and the air quality was quite good. However, the room temperature wasn't individually adjustable. It was 28°C (82°F) during our summer stay, and it got so hot that we had to wait until after 9 AM the following day for someone from maintenance to adjust it. There's a pool downstairs which seemed quite clean, but access isn't direct; you need to pick up a pass from the front desk first.

Arrived at the hotel past midnight on the first day and was given a noisy room, 402 – remember that number! It felt like I'd walked into a magnetic field. There was a huge boiler right below the room, making noise all night long, so I couldn't sleep at all. The city tax was also super expensive: 6 euros for one person, 12 euros for two. Breakfast wasn't great either; all the dishes were cold, even the eggs. The only upside is its proximity to the central station, about a 15-minute walk.

I recently stayed at this hotel and while there were a few positives, the overall experience was disappointing due to a series of overlooked details and frustrating issues. To start with the good—the staff were great: friendly, helpful, and informative. They made an effort to assist whenever asked, and that hospitality was appreciated. The location was decent, about a 30-minute bus ride to the city center. It’s not exactly central, but manageable if you’re okay with the commute. The room was reasonably clean upon arrival, but the quality of housekeeping declined quickly. A lotion stain I accidentally left on the shower floor was never cleaned, and instead of actually scrubbing the area, housekeeping simply placed a mat over it—as if to hide it. Initially, the room came stocked with two sets of towels, but after the first day, only one of each was replaced. While the booking was for one person, maintaining the original quantity would have shown a bit more care and consistency. There were several small inconveniences that added up. For example, the room phone had no directory, so I had no idea how to contact the front desk or reach any services. On top of that, the air conditioning didn’t work for the first two days, which turned out to be because the previous guest had asked for it to be turned off, and it was never reset. It took me that long to realize I had to ask the concierge to enable it again. In a properly managed hotel, the AC should be reset and ready for the next guest without needing to make a request. The continental breakfast was another letdown. The scrambled eggs were dry, lumpy, and had a strange grey tint. The bacon and sausages were cold, and orange juice was served in plastic cups. There was very little fresh fruit, and to top it off, they had a random speaker on the floor playing radio ads during breakfast—a strange and unpleasant ambiance for a morning meal. I’m glad I didn’t pay for breakfast for my entire stay, because it definitely wasn’t worth it. The Wi-Fi was by far the worst I’ve encountered in any hotel. It disconnected constantly and, when connected, barely reached speeds of 5 Mbps. For a hotel in a tourist-heavy area, this is unacceptable and suggests a clear lack of awareness of guest needs—especially for travelers who rely on Wi-Fi to plan outings or stay in touch. Noise was another major issue. The elevator makes a blaring siren-like noise when it opens, which woke me up every single morning. The walls and doors are paper-thin, making it easy to hear people walking or talking outside, and the doors slam shut loudly, adding to the disturbance. Finally, while not the hotel’s fault, there were a few homeless individuals living around the property, which might make some guests feel uneasy, particularly at night. All in all, while the staff were excellent and the location worked, there were just too many frustrating and avoidable issues—poor housekeeping, unusable Wi-Fi, subpar breakfast, noise problems, and a lack of attention to guest experience basics. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the hotel makes significant improvements across the board.

We've stayed at this hotel twice. The premium room and standard room only differ in size and the presence of a desk. The renovation is brand new, with a fresh and understated design. The elevator operates silently but is slow. The soundproofing between rooms could be better, but if you just need a place to sleep while traveling and want to quickly depart from Termini for other parts of Italy, it's ideal and budget-friendly.

We stayed here for four nights in June of 2025. The location of the hotel is generally good for getting to some of the more noteworthy site (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.). There's a metro station around 8 minutes walk away, which opens up most of the rest of the city pretty well. We walked from here to the Vatican, which took around 35 minutes, but would be less than half that by cab. The surrounding area is great for clothing shops, but the food we found nearby was mostly so-so, and frequently over-priced tourist fare, though I'm sure if you walk a little farther from the hotel you can find some good options. The room itself was booked for a family of four, and was comfortable. The bathroom and shower had good water pressure, and the AC worked just fine. Some of the sheets were not quite clean, but we just didn't use the one we found slightly dirty. The beds were comfortable and a good size. The room and hotel have little to no facilities, so you're really just paying for room and the location. The exterior entrance is not well marked, and we actually walked past it on the street several times. If you're thinking of booking here, I'd recommend just looking for the GAP store which is directly across the street, much easier to find. Our interactions with the hotel staff were limited. We received a number of automated messages, some of which were contradictory, or had out of date information. After booking and paying for the room (a non-refundable booking) we were told there was an extra ”city tax” not included which would need to be paid before checking in which amounted to around an extra $90 or so, and the offered price of an airport transfer service went up as soon as we requested it (from 85 euros to 95). The hotel arranged the transfer service for us, but the driver left the airport before we could get out of the passport control due to another booking. The driver service showed up at the hotel at the time the flight was supposed to arrive, even though the flight was late, and you'd expect them to know that going through passport control takes easily an hour, so this seems to be quite poor planning on behalf of either the hotel or the service. We ended up taking a taxi from the airport which was also slightly over half the price of the transfer service, so I'd recommend skipping their service, it seems like a rip-off. Taxis from the airport to the city center seem to be subsidized by the government, and were a fixed price of 55 euros (for a normal size car big enough for 4 people) at the time we visited. The train from the airport is also not a bad idea if you're comfortable using the metro, as the train station is just 3-4 metro stops from the nearest metro station to the hotel (Spagna). Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but felt like we mostly paid for the location.

For Rome prices, it's not bad. However, the self check-in process was a bit convoluted for the initial entry (though once you get the keys from the room, opening the main building door and the condo entrance is easy). The bathroom had a shower with mold, and very little water came out of the showerhead, which was completely encrusted. Even after trying to clean it, not much water came out. For the price, it's not terrible though.

I booked with Reali Hotel Archimede, but when I wanted to check-in, the receptionist told me my booking wasn't registered/found in their system. Which they then offer me to another hotel where it is located behide of the Raeli Hotel, which is called HOTEL LUXE. Quite disappointed as this shouldn't happen to any customer. The room wasn't come with any free water bottle, coffee or tea and kettle. However, you can grab the hot water at the lobby near breakfast room area. The location wise to Roma Termini is just 4-5 mins walk which is quite good at this point if traveler is to rush to catch on any early train/metro. One point to note: every time when you're going out, the room key has to pass to the receptionist and collect back from them again when u're back each time.
