"The hotel is excellent, with great service and comfortable, well-designed rooms. It's affordable and in a good location, with plenty of dining options nearby. Although the hotel is small, it has everything you need. It's a bit of a walk to Kagoshima-Chuo Station, but you can take the tram. Plus, there are lots of great places to eat right around the hotel."

"When getting in the room, there is a musty smell that might be from the carpet but after turn on the purifier and run for hours the smell is gone. The hotel bed is comfortable, although the room is small but the toilet size is big enough. The location is also convenient as it is in front of the train and bus station, the airport bus just drop off besides the hotel. When depart back to the airport, you just need to go down to level 1 for the bus ticket and bus. There is also a lawson downstairs, and there are a few restaurant on the lg floor which is not part of the hotel. The hotel even have adapter when to borrow as I forget mine. I forgot to put up the “do not disturb” sign on the door, house keeping come in to clean and tidy the bed, change the towel but very thoughtful as they did not move any of my stuff that are on the table as I might feel very uncomfortable if stuff is moved. The tv is working quite well, youtube all are working fine. Amenities are sufficient too, the toothbrush is so nice and I like the scrubbing towel they offer. There is also free umbrella provided that must return after use. The hotel even have a nice view on the reception floor which you can see the volcano from there."

"The triple room was generally small and a bit cramped. The only plus was the shower/tub combo, and the bathroom itself was quite spacious. The toiletries provided were excellent, and the hairdryer was a Refa, with both a curling iron and a flat iron included. It's worth noting that none of the rooms offer a view of Sakurajima; you have to go to the rooftop observation deck to catch a glimpse from a specific angle. The hotel is quite a distance from the central station, which is inconvenient if you have large luggage. However, downstairs there's a food street, shopping, and a supermarket, so everything you need is readily available."

"It was our first time travelling to Kagoshima and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. There are no keys or cards issued for room access, and all you need is the pin code or QR code. I really like that the room has the essential items that you will need during your stay - microwave, stove, washing machine. The hotel do not do housekeeping on a daily basis but it was all good for us as they do refresh the towels everyday. They also provide a water dispenser and ice machine at Level 1. The location of the hotel is fantastic - bars and food joints are just walking distance away and there is a 7-11 at each end of the street. I would highly recommend the hotel for any travellers."

"This is one of the most luxurious hotels I've ever stayed in! The facilities are excellent, and my trip to Kagoshima was made even better by booking the Shiroyama Hotel. Everything went smoothly from check-in, and the 4th-floor observation deck offers the best view of Sakurajima in all of Kagoshima."

"What I liked -Great location with easy access to nearby shopping malls. -The bathroom has a big bathtub, which was perfect for soaking and relaxing after a long day. -Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. What could be better -The room is quite compact, especially the leg room around the bed. It feels a little cramped. -Parking can be frustrating. Although there's a car park next to the building, it's often difficult to find an available space."

"The room with Sakurajima view was really nice and spacious. Blue skies and white clouds on check-in day instantly lifted my spirits. The breakfast selection was extensive, and there's a shuttle bus to and from Kagoshima-Chuo Station – just be mindful of the last bus schedule. There's a yakiniku restaurant right opposite the hotel with great value for money!"

"Richmond hotel was located opposite a big department store, with easy access to bus and trams. A combini is just opposite the hotel. They have a wider range of personal amenities to pick at the lobby. They have 3 machines to handle checkout, exchange currency (e.g. 1000¥ to 100¥ coins for laundry machines on 6th floor, or break 10,000¥ to smaller notes). The machines also accept your hotel parking charges. When it was raining, hotel provided full size umbrellas for use, without deposit or giving room numbers, which is very convenient. It has a car park with limited lots, so if you can secure one ,it will be very easy to unload and load your bags. Costs 2400¥ for 2 nights of parking. Main place for food is closer to Tenmonkan area, which is walkable."
