"We stayed for three nights, including breakfast and dinner, and it definitely lived up to the hype for its food and scenery. While the hotel facilities are pretty standard, the environment is absolutely exceptional. It's only tens of meters from Lake Towada, surrounded by lush green spaces, big trees, and the lake itself – the beauty from this distance is captivating. Both meals and the shuttle bus need to be booked in advance. The schedule was: 7:30 AM breakfast, 9:30 AM departure, 4:00 PM return, 5:00 PM dinner, 6:30 PM evening walk, 8:30 PM hot springs, and 10:30 PM deep sleep. Day one poured rain, day two was spent in Yasumiya, taking a boat cruise, and visiting Towada Shrine. Day three was a 10km hike along the Oirase Stream followed by a final goodbye to Yasumiya. Day four was departure. A perfect experience overall! If I had to point out one minor drawback, it would be that the hotel service felt a bit cold. I understood not having our room cleaned on the first day, but not having it cleaned at all for three days felt a little odd. Also, for a stay that included breakfast and dinner, drinks at dinner on the third night were charged separately. It wasn't expensive, but no explanation was given. No 'do not disturb' sign was hung on the door, yet no cleaning. Drinks were offered with dinner on the first two nights, but not on the third. The hotel's onsen only has one large outdoor pool, and it's quite hot – it felt like half water, half fire, which was very enjoyable."

"The hotel is located at Towada Lake Resort, approximately 500 meters from the JR bus station and 100 meters from the lake. It offers a variety of facilities, including table tennis, poker, and Go equipment, as well as bicycle rentals. The rooms are spacious and clean. The meals served with two meals a day are fresh and feature local specialties. The staff are warm, friendly, and attentive. During our two-night stay, the temperature was a bit low, and the hot water was slightly cold. Overall, we felt it offered good value for money."

"This place is extraordinarily overpriced for what it is. I expected much more amenities and service. Although the staff were friendly and courteous, the place was fairly bland. The onsen was mediocre and there were no refreshments afterwards unless you wanted to go to a vending machine. Even Dormy Inn provides refreshments after the onsen but at Towado Hotel having to pay for them and not even the nice ones is ridiculous when you have to pay so much to stay here. The same for the relaxation chair. It is coin-operated not complementary. I would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for a luxury experience because although you pay for that, it’s definitely nowhere near that. Our Western style room was very basic, and it just didn’t have those special finishing touches I had hoped for. "

"The hotel is located on the shore of Lake Towada. The surrounding scenery is very beautiful. For dinner, there is delicious freshly grilled seafood, and there are service staff at the table. It is very delicious, but the cleanliness of the large public bath still has room for improvement."

"It was a calm hotel. The room was large and clean and the site was green and nice. I will stay again if I have another chance."
