"The hotel is easily reachable by car, but if you are using the train, it’s 30/40min by walk or you should jump on a bus. Nearby there are konbinis and a supermarket, which is super useful if you want to eat at the hotel and take advantage of the microwave (there are not a lot of restaurants nearby). The hotel is clean and comfortable—if you want, you can also book a private bath room for free, which is great.
On top of the usual amenities, you can also find different options for shampoo and conditioner (ex. one for damaged hair, etc..)"

"The stay was very pleasant. I used Tsu as a hub to visit both Ise Shingu and Nachi given that there are rapid and limited express trains running from Tsu. The hotel is situated directly next to Tsu station with various restaurants situated near it. There is a shopping strip located about a 13 minute walk from Tsu station with Uniqlo and a large supermarket next to it.
As for the room, the beds were comfortable and spacious. Various amenities such as toothbrush and shavers were provided. There is also a free coffee machine located next to the check in desk.
I will highly recommend those who plan to visit Mie prefecture to stay here!"

Cons: The soundproofing in the room was very poor, and there were stains on the duvet cover.
Notes: Overall, this hotel felt good. It's not my first time staying at a Sanco property; I've stayed at their hotels in many Japanese cities. However, this time I was very unlucky to encounter very rude Japanese neighbors who were making noise until 11 PM, seriously disturbing other guests' rest. They were also quite rude when confronted by the front desk staff, showing no remorse whatsoever, which was both surprising and infuriating."

"During my recent stay at Hotel R9 at Yard Tsu, I had a mixed experience, resulting in an overall rating of 3 out of 5. While the hotel was generally acceptable, there were some notable drawbacks.
One major issue I encountered was the cleanliness of the rooms. I was disappointed to find a significant number of insects on the walls, which was quite unpleasant and off-putting. As a result, I had to deduct points and give it a rating of 3 out of 5 for cleanliness.
Additionally, compared to my previous stay at another Hotel R9 location, the price at Yard Tsu was slightly higher. However, it was still within an acceptable range considering the overall quality of the hotel.
Despite the drawbacks, I must mention that the hotel's staff were courteous and attentive, providing decent service throughout my stay.
In conclusion, while Hotel R9 at Yard Tsu has some room for improvement in terms of cleanliness, its reasonable price and satisfactory service make it an acceptable choice for a short stay. TTomYamMeeI stayed here once last year, but I forgot the details. Please note that there are no razors, hairbrushes, lotions or creams as amenities. I had completely forgotten about it.
Although there is a rice shortage these days, white rice and rice balls made with newly harvested rice were served for the free breakfast. There were the standard items such as Ise udon, curry, miso soup, grilled fish, sausages, etc. The main drink was apple cider vinegar, coffee from a machine, black tea, and roasted green tea. If you don't know that you can make it with the plum kombu tea or green tea powder in the amenities and boil it with hot water, you will end up drinking apple cider vinegar.
When it's crowded, you can just eat it in your room and leave it on the return desk in the hallway.
It's convenient because it's close to the station.

I didn't speak Japanese well, so I talked with a translator, but he kindly told me about the room and the shared bathroom. 👍 Even though it was 7 pm at night, it was dark from the moment I got off at the station. The operation time of nearby shops is very short There are not many restaurants around the dormitory except convenience stores. Instead, it's very close to the ferry dock to Nagoya Airport. Recommended for those who want to experience tatami rooms at an affordable price.
