"The hotel has a new building and an old building. The old building has a very nostalgic feel. Upon check-in, I was upgraded to a suite in the old building, which was great because my luggage was heavy and only the old building has an elevator. The room felt straight out of the 90s, but it was fine for an overnight stay. The new building looked nice, but it doesn't have an elevator. The front desk staff was very beautiful and patient; she used a translation app to help me understand things I didn't. I didn't get to use the pool or other facilities as I was rushing to the pier the next day. Overall,"

"Three friends and I stayed here during a trip to the Philippines. From Manila Airport, we first traveled to the bus terminal in Manila city, then took a two-hour bus ride from Manila to Batangas, and then a one-hour taxi ride from there. If possible, I think it would be easier to charter a car from Manila. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We had a great time relaxing by the pool and trying our hand at diving. There's nothing around the hotel, so we had to eat at the hotel restaurant, but the food was of very high quality and delicious. They also had a few Japanese dishes, such as tonkatsu, which was nice. Overall, the prices were high for a resort hotel, but it was a great experience worth the price."

"It is always a pleasure to be back at Sotogrande Batangas! This was my third visit, and it has truly become my ”go-to” sanctuary in Batangas whenever I need to relax and de-stress. My post-birthday celebration was just as perfect as I hoped it would be. What keeps me coming back is the consistently high standard of service. Your employees are not only the epitome of professionalism but are also incredibly kind and thoughtful. A special thank you to Ms. Cess for always accommodating me so warmly—your dedication is a huge part of why the service here is so exceptional. I also have to mention the dining—the food is consistently on cue and sobrang sarap! I’m already looking forward to my next breakfast there. While the pool area remains the ultimate stress reliever for me, I have two small suggestions: it would be amazing to have a jacuzzi installed in the future, and perhaps a more discreet entrance/exit to the pool area, as walking through the restaurant to get there can feel a bit awkward! Overall, this remains the best hotel experience I’ve had so far. Thank you for making my birthday celebration so memorable. I will definitely be back soon and will continue to recommend you to all my friends and family!"

"As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the guard, who promptly informed the front desk of our arrival. He clearly directed us to the reception area and kindly reminded us to be careful while going down the long staircase, very efficient and friendly service. The front desk staff were professional and polite. They even offered to extend our check-out time to 2 PM so we could better enjoy our stay, especially since we arrived around 6 PM. We truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture as we were celebrating my birthday. The food was excellent. The lechon kawali was a standout, perfectly crispy and juicy. The halaan soup tasted comforting and homey, and the fish fillet was crisp on the outside while tender and flavorful inside. The sandwich was also good. The view is absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking sunset. Our room was spacious and even had a balcony, which we loved. The only downside was the pool, which is quite small and can get crowded if everyone decides to swim. The Water pressure in the bathroom in our room is weak we had a hard time showering and flushing the toilet. Additionally, the staff at the water activities area were not very accommodating. Although kayak and snorkeling equipment are complimentary, they seemed uninterested in assisting us. We noticed they were more attentive to foreign guests, and we hope the staff can provide equal service to all guests in the future. Overall, it was a lovely stay with just a few areas for improvement."

"The beach was nice - the sand was smooth and not rocky, the waves are a bit chill. Hence, kid-friendly. Facilities and amenities are nice tho a bit old aready. Since the pool was big, we were able to swim in the pool even though it’s peak season and many people. Morning jog at the lagoon was good as well. We also played billiards and bowling. It’s just sad that the kids playroom was under renovation. It could’ve been a pretty good experience overall."

"I thought when they did the 'make up room' service, they would change the bed sheets, but it seems they just tidied them up because the torn part was still there. The staff are kind, and the food is okay, just a bit pricey, which is understandable. Overall, the stay was good."
