Panglao Municipality Hotels with Wifi

This time, I went on a trip to the Philippines, staying 5 nights in Bohol and 3 nights in Cebu. The Hennan Resort in Bohol was truly excellent. We arrived around 11 AM after a half-day diving schedule, and fortunately, our room was ready, so we were able to check in immediately and get into our room quickly. The accommodation itself was really clean, and all the staff were incredibly friendly. They promptly resolved any service requests we had, so I think I'll definitely stay here again if I visit Bohol in the future. The pool was also well-maintained, and overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

The hotel experience was mixed depending on the room assigned. The first room was in okay condition, although there was a slight smell. The second room was not the best, but the last room we received was very good and much more comfortable. So overall, the experience may vary depending on which room you get. We really enjoyed the facilities, especially the pool, which was very nice. The staff were also very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The location is convenient if you need quick access to the airport, especially for late-night or early-morning flights. However, it is quite far from the city center, so getting a taxi or tuk-tuk can sometimes be challenging unless you book through the Maxim app, which requires a local phone number for registration.

The location isn't too remote; it's a 20-minute walk from Alona Beach or a 5-minute taxi ride. The environment is relatively quiet, and they have dogs (very cute!), though their barking occasionally isn't a big issue. Toiletries are provided, but slippers and toothbrushes need to be purchased. We had hot water for showers during our stay. The room has a smart TV where you can watch YouTube and Netflix (you need to log in with your own account). Breakfast selections and serving times are chosen the night before, but we usually just went downstairs in the morning to let the staff know we were ready for ours. The cheese and ham toast was delicious! The swimming pool is heated. The hotel also offers in-room massage services at a good price. Overall, the service is excellent. While there were occasional minor hiccups, the staff and owner are very kind and friendly, making for a very comfortable stay!

The environment, location, and service are all excellent, offering great value for money. However, the room facilities aren't the best; the bathroom door and fittings are quite old, and the air conditioning is noisy. It would be even better if there was a table in the room to put things on.

The hotel name sounds fancy, but personally, I think it's more like a guesthouse or hostel. It's located in an alley off the main road leading to Alona Beach, with plenty of dining options nearby and easy, close access to the beach. I was really pleased with the great value for money and the simple, clean environment; the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the breakfast provided by the hotel was delicious. The downsides are that you need to bring your own toiletries, the water pressure for showering isn't strong enough, and there was a brief power outage once that led to the water being cut off. Overall, it was still a pretty good stay! 😊

I stayed at Bohol Haitang Resort for one night as a temporary stopover while getting my diving certification in Bohol. It was perfectly adequate for that purpose. The ground floor room I stayed in felt quite damp, and the overall cleanliness was just average. I noticed stains around the sink and in the corners of the bathroom, so the cleaning wasn't very thorough. The upside is its convenient location, not far from the dive shop, making it suitable for a quick stay or short overnight. I wouldn't recommend it if you have high standards for accommodation and cleanliness. However, if you're on a budget and just need a simple place to crash for diving, without being too picky about your lodging, then staying here for a night could be an option.

I highly recommend this hotel for travelers looking for reasonable nightly rates and a very convenient location. It’s just a short walking distance to Alona Beach, with many restaurants and bars nearby, so there’s no need to rent a motorcycle you can easily walk everywhere from Harmony Hotel. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating, which made our stay even more comfortable. Overall, a great choice for a relaxing and hassle-free stay in Panglao.

The photos don't reflect what you'll actually get; they must be old. We had an 'enhanced' room, and I dread to imagine what the standard ones are like. The room was tiny, and you had to walk through the restaurant to get to it. You could hear the kitchen working and music from outside. But the biggest issue was the bathroom: it has a window that looks out onto the main corridor. My tall husband confirmed you can see everything if you peek in, especially if the shower curtain isn't fully closed! Plus, the room's 'terrace' also opens into the corridor. On the beach outside, they're building stairs for access, so if you're coming soon, be prepared for construction work. We stayed one night and moved to another hotel. We tried to cancel the remaining days, but the hotel wouldn't approve the cancellation.

A peaceful retreat! We will definitely be back! If you are looking for a true escape to unwind and recharge, this resort is absolute perfection. The location is ideal because it is tucked away from the crowded resort areas, offering a uniquely quiet and serene atmosphere. Thanks to the peaceful surroundings, I enjoyed some of the best quality sleep and rest I have had in a long time. A huge bonus is its close proximity to South Farm, where we enjoyed incredibly delicious food. To top it all off, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our entire stay. We truly loved our time here and will definitely be back!

Pros: -Beautiful swimming pool w/lifeguard -clean room -Gugma Restaurant serves delicious food -friendly staff except for that one female front desk in the morning as well as the no show manager Cons: -Misleading Information and must be updated! The ad shows that the hotel has all the amenities that we looked for are wifi/wired internet in the rooms, swimming pool and few steps from the beach but it's not. We checked in late at night and the location is far from the beach, wifi is available at their Gazebo or lobby area with mosquitos. -There are 2 different hotel branches, one is few steps from Alona beach proper with wifi in the rooms but no pool and the other one is their 2nd newer branch which is 1 tuktuk ride away from Alona beach proper no wifi in the rooms, wired internet isn't working but with swimming pool. -I was upfront to the hotelier that I travel for work and measure and need all those amenities that were stated on the website, but the remedy they kept insisting is to move us to their other branch which is older, no pool with wifi in the room as they do not have the wifi nor wired internet in their room at their 2nd hotel and that we can just go their in the morning to use their pool 🤣 -No one from the hotel apologize, not even a Manager's shadow reachout -Trip.com said sorry and provide compensation but it's not enough for the lost working hours due to the mosquito bites I had while I tried to work at the lobby but was not able to tolerate it as I am afraid of having Dengue, did not get anything from the hotel's management -tricycle/tuktuk will cost you 100 pesos per way PRICEY -we tried to walk to the beach as there is another route close to the 2nd hotel but the way is rocky and stairs were steep as it was meant for divers or island Hopper not the white strip that were posted on the website -corkage fee so better to buy at the restaurant at the hotel or eat outside **AGAIN THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT HOTEL BRANCH WITH DIFFERENT ADDRESSES AND AMENITIES, SO BE CAREFUL IN BOOKING ESPECIALLY IF YOU TRAVEL FOR WORK AND NEEDS WIFI IN THE ROOM.
