Ok, so this place is a little off the beaten path, (1 mile down a bumpy, dusty, dirty, goat trail of a road to be exact), but so worth the effort to get there! Fernando and his staff have crafted a beautiful, eco conscious, peaceful oasis on the beach here. Stunning beach views, great accomadations with private plunge pools for each room and excellent food make for a great retreat. Very tastefully appointed and modern renovations! We fell in love with this place and are already planning our return!

By far our best vacation destination! My husband and I stayed in the ocean front, roof top pool Quintana Roo suite from Feb 1-15 2024. So much great feedback to give. First the staff were INCREDIBLE!! Kind and so eager to please. A special shout out to Ruben, Mauricio, David, Alfonso, Isela, Kenny, Hortencia, Hector, Abraham, Enrique and the cleaning staff for treating us like royalty. The food was fresh and the all inclusive breakfast was very tasry and filling. The food seemed to get better and better over the two weeks. The lunch menu has many options. Drinks were way too easy! The beach and ocean was majestic and provided hours of fun. Didn't have any issues with mosquitoes due to a constant breeze. The room had all the amenities and the bed was large and comfy. In the evening we walked a mile down to the kite surfing community for a drink and sunset. Needed mosquitoe spray for this walk. We wanted a relaxing vacation and this definitely met every desire. We will be back next year!! Thank-you again to all the staff! We miss you already! Kim and James from Canada

This place is in a remote location on the beach which is nice in theory but terribly executed. I would avoid staying here overnight at all costs. They can't decide if they are a beach club or a hotel, but in reality they are neither. The staff needs some proper training in hospitality, especially the girl at the front desk who never smiles and makes you feel like she's doing you a favour. She threw our ID's back at us when we were checking in. I once asked her for some more bottled water for our room and she rolled her eyes and the water didn't even arrive! The rooms are average and the ‘fresh’ towels were full of stains! When we booked, we didn’t mind the remote location and not having any shops/ restaurants around but we realised very quickly that they had serious issues with the kitchen which was located outside of the hotel so the dishes would take 1-2 hours to arrive. The food is extremely overpriced and they give you very small portions so you order more as you have no choice because there is nothing else around! This included half a bagel for breakfast and an omelette with no toast, even though the menu says bread is included. We were even asked to pay more if we wanted a cappuccino for our breakfast. I never stayed anywhere that a cappuccino is considered extra for an included breakfast! The menu they offer is very different to what you can actually order - we wanted burgers but they didn't have these even though they're on the menu. We ordered the same vegetarian pasta dish two nights in a row, on the first night it came with only carrots and on the second night it came with completely different vegetables. The waiters were friendly, especially Ruben and they tried their best but they said rules are the rules and they cannot make changes. I am so surprised to see similar reviews starting from a year ago and yet no improvements by the management. The management team clearly don't care about improving or know how to order supplies for their kitchen. It is nice to stay somewhere remote with a beautiful beach but it was very hard to switch off due to the constant hospitality issues and feelings that the staff are trying to make as much money off you as possible. Management needs a serious wakeup call or else this place won't last much longer.

There were mosquitoes in the room, even though they provided mosquitoes repllents but no use, bathroom is congested. The breakfast is limited per person and service is very slow.

Nice stay at Punta Blanca Beach House. Spacious rooms and nicely decorated. For the price I would have expected more service.

This is a nice small hotel on the beach away from the major resorts. We picked it as it was close to a kite surf spot. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The beach and water is amazing. Now to the negative points that ruined our stay… 1. The unmade road that led you to the hotel is rough and not maintained and during the rain made it challenging to drive especially at night. Free parking was a bonus but be careful not to get a puncture along the way. 2. The staff try really hard especially Ruben but he is totally unsupported. We often found no one to order dinner with and the same with reception. The staff have to run to a building further down the beach where there is a kitchen so sometimes you would be waiting to be served and service could be super slow. 3 on the day of checkout we found that breakfast was inclusive but we never knew that so in 7 days we only had breakfast once as it was super expensive on the menu. 4. you are miles from any shops so if you don’t have a car you are reliant on the restaurant and to be honest you have menu fatigue after 4 days. Although the chef and Ruben try to be creative with offering what they can. There were no burgers for most of the stay and always items missing from the menu. Plus there’s no consistency so the same item comes different on other days. 5. There is consistent problems with the electrics as they run on generators. This can be noisy especially late at night. You can only access air-con from 7pm till early am and the WiFi and lights kept going off. Especially annoying when you’re online or trying to watch a movie when stuck in your room due to be marched by mosquitos in the common areas. 6. There was no spoons for coffee in the room, no milk and no cutlery or crockery in the rooms even though there is a microwave and gas stove which we didn’t access so can’t even say if it functions. The room could also do with a sofa as watching tv in bed is hard as the tv is on the wrong wall. Upon checkout we waited for over one hour as there was no reception available at 10 am and the manager and finance person were in a house up the road and when we had issues they didn’t even bother to come and talk to us. Also there’s no formal receipt and we had to filter though 7 days of restaurant dockets to understand what we had to pay. They simply gave us a total spend and eventually a credit card slip. We left feeling disappointed and underwhelmed.

This is a small hotel and very quiet. You do not go here to enjoy nightlife or really anything other than unplugging and relaxing. We rented the entire hotel out for three night and held our daughter's wedding on their beach. The management and staff are all wonderful and easy to work with. They are very accommodating and worked with us and our wedding planners well. There were a few hiccups which I feel were totally expected with a newer hotel, one that had never hosted such a large event with so many people. When you stay here you need to know that taxis do not like driving here and it will cost you but, in my opinion, it is well worth it. Each room has a small private pool PLUS you have an amazing beach. the rooms are simple yet well appointed. I honestly love it here so much that even though I own a home in Cancun, I still drive all the way up here for the day. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 is the air conditioning isn't great and for a Minnesotan, air conditioning is a big deal. That small complaint aside, this is the perfect place to just exhale the BS of life and just BE.
