I had never been to an inn where I felt so comfortable walking out on the terrace barefoot. However, are the reviews saying that the food is delicious true? I got the impression that although it was hot, it wasn't hot enough. Overall, it's not memorable, it's dry, but what about the presentation of the meat? subtle. I think if you don't put the three pieces of sirloin on top of the fried onions and vegetables, the meat will be meat, and the vegetables will be vegetables, the taste of the meat will be obscured. 3 cuts is no problem. I had high expectations based on the reviews that praised the bowl, but it was very average. Since I prefer "Fufu", the prices are different and I know I shouldn't make comparisons, but I thought the reviews were a little different. I think the cost performance is good. The baths are both very good, both the open-air bath in the large public bath and the bath in the room. Another problem that lowered the level of satisfaction was that smoking is allowed on the terrace, so when I was relaxing on the terrace after taking a bath, the smell of cigarette smoke wafted in and ruined my mood. Smoking is now prohibited even on condominium balconies in many places. Because I can't control the smoke in my room. Although it may be inconvenient for smokers, we would like you to consider creating a separate smoking room (space) and banning smoking even on the terrace. There is no need for unpleasant cigarette smoke in an inn with such a pleasant forest and murmuring streams. I was happy to see the fireflies that I was looking forward to after the rain stopped. It was my first time using it. It was a wonderful inn that lived up to its previous reputation. However, it is also true that there are some places that are cold in the winter. The coldest time was when I went to the private bath. They provided clogs for outside use, but I think we made the right decision by wearing our own shoes. On the way back, I warmed up in the hot springs, so I felt less cold. The public bath is also accessed through an outside hallway. It's cold there too, but I have good footing so I don't have any problems wearing indoor slippers. All rooms have open-air baths, but the large public bath is also wonderful, so it's better to use it. It's spacious enough that it probably won't get crowded. You can enter even late at night. I stayed in Yamakura, so it was warm inside the hallway, and it was close to the lobby, so it was easy to get free drinks. The food was simply delicious. Each portion is a small amount, but by the end you're full. The focus was on creative cuisine, but delicious sashimi was also served. The breakfast was a typical ryokan breakfast and was delicious. And it was nice that there was a horigotatsu in the room. Kotatsu is at its best this time of year. Access is not very good, but there is a shuttle service that takes you to the bus stop and Shuzenji Station on the way back. I would like to visit again in a different season.

Due to the rapid increase in coronavirus infections in Omicron 5, I canceled my trip to a distant place and was looking for a nearby hot spring inn (one with a bath in the room) that I could visit by car.I searched for Mr. Asebino at my husband's request. By the way, I was able to reserve the Hana no Kura Japanese-Western style room that I had requested.It was my first visit in about 5 years.Unfortunately, the firefly season was over, so I was not able to enjoy the impressive firefly viewing that I had experienced before. I was able to enjoy the beautiful green scenery.The view from the lobby was that the green trees were deeper and closer than before.I was happy to check in at this inn, although the check-in time was early (I took a detour again this time) (The check-out time was delayed for a long time and I was late.) I remembered that the early check-out time was somewhat unsettling, so I apologized for the inconvenience.This time, I visited for the first time on a weekday, and I was able to spend a quiet time. There's nothing to complain about if the bath in the room is a wooden bath (the owner of the caretaker shop once scraped his knee in a rock bath at an inn he visited before, and since then he has been reluctant to take rock baths. (There are some troublesome circumstances.) Considering the maintenance of a wooden bath, I don't think it's something that can be easily expected.The size of the room, the bed specifications, and the table and chairs were comfortable.The food was also seasonal and local. In addition, the man who was in charge of serving us at the restaurant spoke with a great sense of service, which I would have liked to hear more about if we weren't in this situation.
