Hampton Inn & Suites Jackson Downtown-Coliseum

I was traveling from Orlando Florida to Hot Springs Arkansas. My parents have stayed at this property in the past and recommended it to me. I am a semi-retired chef with 45 years experience and 21 years with Marriott. I am glad I did stay here. If you could have milk or water available during breakfast that would be great. I plan to stay here on my way back to Florida.

Very pleased with attention to everything. Larry at the front desk is amazing. He is so helpful and has a great personality. All of the other staff were equally as friendly and helpful. I also want to compliment Demetra (I hope I got her name correct. With travel and several hotels I may have the name wrong. If so, I apologize to her.) She is at the front desk too and is a wonderful, helpful person. Everything about out 2 night stay was good. No problems accommodating our dog.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Jackson Fondren Medical District

The hotel is nicely situated in Fondren, a nice neighbourhood in north Jackson. The suite was nicely appointed, though our shampoo dispenser was empty. The gym is fantastic. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was adequate, though complimentary.
Motel 6 Jackson, MS - Southwest

The hotel is old and dirty—lots of noise and people yelling in the parking lot through the night. There is a guy who, like a pop-up tent set up in the parking lot selling pulled pork. It looks like he has been there a long time. The room surface was somewhat clean; however, the furniture was stained and dirty. We had a no-smoking room, but the table has burn marks. The tub had dirt/mold build up in the corners and behind the bathroom door. The sheets were stained. The door lock was broken. The window curtain was falling down. The site said there was free breakfast – there was no breakfast. Be alerted there was no fire alarm or sprinkler. The door had a 1-inch gap at the bottom. We will NOT stay here again. Should have left – but would not refund our money.
