Hostel was decent, and good value. Bed was hard but comfortable enough. Bathrooms were clean enough, although for foreigners just know there's only squat toilets. The staff were helpful, and good with using translators to explain everything which was appreciated. Location is great, perfect to spend a night in Shaxi for a good price. However there was no lock on the door to the room (although there is a small locker in the room), but given its a small town security isn't too much of an issue. I forgot to take photos of the rooms but the view from the roof is nice. Overall, decent stay.

Nice friendly hosts, great location to transport and old town. We stayed in the double room and unfortunately it doesn’t seem like this room has been cleaned in a long time. Just putting clean sheets on a bed is not cleaning a room. The whole room and especially the bathroom needs a good thorough clean. It’s a shame because the rest of our stay was very pleasant but the cleanliness was a big let down, could have been 5/5

I traveled alone this time and stayed at Xiangmo Youth Hostel for four nights in a row. I stayed in a girls' quadruple room. The price was about 50 yuan per night, which was very economical. The boss volunteers and staff are friendly, gentle and provide enthusiastic service. There is a public washing area with sufficient toilets, a roof platform for drying, and a paid washing machine. Shampoo and shower gel are provided in the shower room. Each bed has a small lamp, shelves and sockets for placing items. The bed is relatively spacious and I slept very comfortably. I've made some interesting friends here. I hope I will choose to stay here again when I visit Shaxi again in the future. The only suggestion is that the water pressure of the bath water is low and the water volume is too small. I hope it can be improved.

The beautiful little courtyard, the gentle sunshine, and the days that pass by like a fleeting time! The inn is in a hidden alley. I think this alley is the most beautiful in Shaxi. Although it's not on the main street, you can reach the center of the town in just 5 minutes' walk in a quiet place, where friends from all over the world can gather together to chat, eat, and walk... it's a worthwhile trip!
